The Landmark Restaurant Restaurant Review:

The Landmark in the circa 1924 Warwick Melrose Hotel has seen its fair share of talented chefs over the past decade. Former sous chef Michael Pacheco is now the chef de cuisine, pushing the menu beyond hotel dining staples like steaks and Caesar salad. Though those items --- along with other expected fare like shrimp Louie and crab bisque --- remain, Pacheco is venturing into new territory with more adventurous dishes such as five-spice calamari with Asian greens and sweet Thai vinaigrette, and a clever duo of braised pork belly with escargots and Mission figs, and his plating skills are undeniable. The elegant décor, soft music, and discreet service make The Landmark a good place for an important business dinner, though it may come off as a bit stuffy for a date night. Serious wine enthusiasts will be hard-pressed to find anything uncommon or exciting beyond the usual suspects on the wine list.
