Sacramento's Best of Trivia Bars

If your idea of a trivia quiz at a bar is 'Hey baby, what's your sign?', then you haven't caught on to one of the more fun reasons to visit your local pub lately.  Pub Quizzes, sometimes called Quiz Nights or Trivia Nights, seemed to have originated in England in the 70's and then become a hit in the U.S.  The formats vary but usually involve a quiz master and teams.  There are often prizes for the winning team.  So if you're one of those people who know a little about a lot of things, check out one of these bars on trivia night and test your skill.

The Streets of London Pubs have a dedicated following for their Simon MacMillan Memorial Pub Quiz.  Get their early (like an hour early!) for a table and be prepared for fun.  Questions come from variety of categories like music, movies and sports.  The Sacramento location holds their Pub Quiz on Sunday night at 9 p.m.  For Folsom, it's Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. and it is Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. in West Sacramento.

The Fox and Goose Pub has been around since 1975.  Itís also known for its breakfast menu and live music five nights a week. How is that some trivia!  However, on one of the two nights without live music, they have a popular Pub Quiz hosted by Morgan.  Itís on Tuesdays at 7 p.m.

Every Monday night, it's Trivia Night at DeVere's.  Grab a pint and get ready to answer questions about pop culture, history, sports and more.  Teams can have up to six people but no help from cell phones or laptops!!  Prizes are given out each week and at the end of each (10 week tournament).
