Hough said she chose Strongsville for her second store "because it's a booming area that's growing."

She hopes to open in February or March.

Pure DeLite's website says its vanilla cupcakes contain 179 calories and 5.8 grams of fat, compared with a competitor's 485 calories and 24.4 grams of fat.

Flavors change weekly. In December, they include gingerbread, egg nog, chocolate salted caramel, snickerdoodle, raspberry ganache, white chocolate peppermint, french toast and cranberry-orange.

The menu includes well over 100 flavors. Most can be made vegan, gluten-free or reduced fat.

"There are so many food allergies and special dietary restrictions anymore, and we try to cater to those needs as much as we can," Hough said. "We shouldn't have to sacrifice all of our favorite treats for our health, and we have found a way to create a good balance so you can feel better about indulging in amazing desserts."

It would be the second new bakery for Strongsville. opened last week in Strongsville Towne Center on Pearl Road.
