MEET OUR incredible ALLEN MUSIC TEACHERS

+ Zac Adams, Piano Lessons

Greetings, I'm Zac! My musical odyssey commenced in the United Kingdom, where, at the tender age of 5, I received my first guitar and keyboard as thoughtful gifts from my parents. Growing up in a musical family, everyone around me possessed skills in various instruments, spanning from the guitar to the saxophone and violin.

As my passion for music flourished, at 18, I embarked on my academic journey at Loughborough College in England. During this phase, I engaged in numerous musical collaborations with college buddies, forming bands that graced the stages of local pubs and clubs. For more information about Zac click here!

+ Marshall Mack, DRUM & Guitar lessons

I was inspired to learn the drums at age 6 when my mom said she could see me drumming like the drummer for Hillsong. From then on my obsession with the drums began and I did everything I could do to learn the drums.

I began taking drum lessons when I was 8 years old. Durning my first lesson, I couldn’t stop smiling as my drum instructor demonstrated some techniques and what we would be working on. I couldn’t believe that I would soon be able to do what he was doing. You can read more about Marshall here!

+ Jun Tatsuoka, Piano lessons

My musical journey began at the age of 3! My parents started me in piano lessons first and then in guitar lessons at age 6. Since those early beginnings, music has remained a central passion and focus for me. Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember!

Over the years, my musical journey has led me all over the world - from Japan, to California, to Texas.

While I was in California, I had the opportunity to operate my own teaching studio in Big Sur. Also, while in California, I had the privilege of working with The Beach Boys. I ran the recording studio for one of The Beach Boys, and also toured with them for a few years. This was a highlight of my musical career!

+ Connor Veteto, Guitar lessons

My journey into music began over 14 years ago playing acoustic and electrical guitar and singing. I’ve sung and played professionally since 2009 for worship bands, with Texas original music and cover bands – The BoomBachs and The Enablers. I love playing modern and classic rock, pop, gospel, hip-hop and funk. Experiencing music is my greatest passion with soccer being a close second!

In studying music, my high school music theory instructor was my greatest influence. He not only inspired me in my struggle to read and write music, he taught me the importance of aural skills and how to use my ear as a tool in learning music. This changed my approach to reading and writing music and the way I teach. He helped me to discover for myself what made learning music fun and memorable. Read more about Connor here!

+ Uriah Stakes, Piano and Producton Lessons

Hi, I'm Uriah! Music has always been a part of my life, thanks to my dad who introduced me to the drums at a young age. As I grew older, I started taking piano lessons and developed a passion for the instrument.

When I turned 14, my dad surprised me with a guitar, and that's when I began my journey as a guitarist and bassist. My brothers and I formed a family band and had the opportunity to perform at blues jams around town. It was an incredible experience to share the stage with my siblings and showcase our musical talents together. In fact, we even had the chance to play at the prestigious Dallas International Guitar Festival.

+ Randall Groves, GUITAR lessons

My musical journey began at age 4 with piano lessons. My passion for piano, led me to performing in Texas state-wide competitions where I won the regional competition from age 8 - 14.

One of my favorite bands, ‘Green Day’ inspired me to pursue my next and primary passion - guitar. I began taking formal guitar lessons at the age of 14. I also studied classical guitar in and throughout high school. I won the state completion in guitar at ages 15 and 17 with the TMTA. Read more about Randall here!

+ Makala LoCicero, VOICE lessons

Hey there, I'm Makayla, and my musical journey started when I was just a little one, twirling around in dance class and being drawn to the enchanting world of classical music. At the age of 10, I began crafting my own tunes and tinkering on the piano. Initially, I learned by ear before formal lessons, and my parents, thinking I could conquer anything, surprised me with a guitar. Cue the YouTube tutorials, and I was off on a self-taught musical adventure!

As I hit a singing roadblock, I turned to voice lessons, eager to improve.

+ Kathleen Westbrook, Voice lessons

"I've been singing for as long as I can remember - music has always been a huge part of my life! I started writing music at the young age of 5, and by the time I was 7 years old, I was already eager to learn more about songwriting. One of my earliest musical experiences was singing in a church choir from the ages of 7 to 10. During that time, I learned a lot about the different aspects of vocal technique, including head, chest, and mix voice.
