We offer climbing trips to the Greenbelt, and Reimers Ranch in Austin; Enchanted Rock State Natural Area near Fredricksburg; and Mineral Wells State Park outside of Ft. Worth.
Climbing Instruction includes:
- Learning climbing knots
- Climbing commands
- Basic climbing technique
- How to use climbing gear properly
- How to belay fellow climbers
- Climbing 5.5 – 5.9 beginner friendly climbs

A typical climbing day begins at 9 am as we make our way to the climbing area known as a “crag”. We quickly learn to assess potential hazards, and teach what safety concerns to look for. We discuss each piece of gear that we will be using, and how to use it properly. We then move into belay technique. Belaying each other up 40 to 50 foot rock walls will quickly form deep bonds with new friends. Once we feel that each team member has mastered belaying we begin the fun part of the day.
We usually climb 3 to 8 routes during the day. Most routes that we will be climbing are rated 5.5-5.9. With each climb we will teach different climbing techniques, and depending on the group will progress with potentially more challenging climbs. We end climbing about 2:30 pm. and hike out to the parking lot by 3pm.
All guides are AMGA trained, and have climbed throughout the world in such places as Europe, Mexico, Alaska, Asia, Tetons, Sierras, and many other exotic locales. They love what they do, and it shows as they impart their knowledge.
Price varies depending on location, number in party, and whether you are a corporate, private, or non-profit group.
Standard Price for our corporate or private groups:
1 climber: $250.00 per person
2 climbers: $125.00 per person
4 or more climbers: $110.00 per person
