Inay's Asian Pacific Restaurant
Inay’s on Beacon Hill—one block away from the Sound Transit depot, across the street from the Shell station famous for its fried catfish—is one of the city’s most magical outposts of awesomeness. The lighting’s bright, the staff is smiley, and the Filipino food is very cheap, very tasty, and very home-style. Try the peppery pancit, glass noodles with chicken, sausage, and veggies; tilapia in a spicy coconut milk, jalapeño, and ginger broth; and/or tender pork adobo. Also try to come on Friday night—call ahead!—for the amazing one-person drag show. You will not regret it.
