The Green Boheme is Sacramento’s organic, vegan, raw foods restaurant and holistic health center – voted “Best Raw Resource” by Sacramento magazine. Unlike at other vegetarian and vegan restaurants, all our food is gluten-free and soy-free – meaning we serve the purest food throughout Sacramento County. Our passion for health and commitment to gourmet cuisine enables us to meet rigorous dietary restrictions while satisfying the discriminating palate, and our innovative approach to a plant-based diet has been featured in top media outlets – including ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox.
Founded by chef Brooke Preston in 2010 after working as a health-conscious personal chef and working as a chef at an organic, vegan, raw foods restaurant in Sacramento – acquiring the unique skills set of raw foods preparation. Years later, Brooke bought the restaurant, changed its name to The Green Boheme, and enrolled in the Living Light Culinary Institute – the world’s premier organic, raw, vegan chef training school.
Throughout her journey, however, Brooke’s most formative teachers have been her intuition and ingenuity. Simply put, Brooke loves to play with her food! Combining her creative flair, refined palate, and innate understanding of what tastes and textures work well together, Brooke delights in creating one-of-a-kind dishes – reminiscent of familiar foods, yet innovative and exciting.
