Tennis Great Nick Bollettieri to Visit The Tennis Club at the Newport Beach Country Club

Bollettieri has coached 10 No. 1 players in the world, everyone from Andre Agassi to Maria Sharapova to Venus and Serena Williams.

Nick Bollettieri, the Hall of Fame Tennis coach behind many of the stars of tennis, will conduct on court coaching clinics, provide motivational messages, tell stories about his life on the tour, answer questions, and sign copies of his newest book, Bollettieri: Changing the Game, all at The Tennis Club at Newport Beach Country Club on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 18 and 19.

The Tennis Club at Newport Beach Country Club’s new owner, Sean Abdali, notes: “I am deeply touched by Nick Bollettieri’s support and we are honored that the man who changed tennis is coming to our club and supporting my efforts. This is a huge boost to our club and a tremendous opportunity for our tennis community.”

On Saturday Nick will give private lessons in the morning and a free clinic to club members in the afternoon from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. On Sunday afternoon Nick will provide a free clinic, which is open to the public, from 1-3 p.m.

Formerly known as the Balboa Bay Racquet Club and the former home of the World Team Tennis franchise Newport Beach Breaker’s, The Tennis Club has a long and rich history of tennis in Southern California. The club encompasses 24 courts with three stadium and show courts.

Nick Bollettieri is a legendary coach, entrepreneur, motivator, writer, and philanthropist. He is one of the most influential people in the world of tennis, and a legend who transcends the sport.

In 1978, he founded the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Bradenton, Fla, which was the first full-time tennis boarding school to combine intense training on the court with a custom-designed academic curriculum. The school’s multi-faceted approach includes blending the technical and strategic on-court training with customized performance training and mental conditioning.

Bollettieri has used this proven method to coach 10 No. 1 players in the world - Andre Agassi, Boris Becker, Jim Courier, Martina Hingis, Jelena Jankovic, Marcelo Rios, Monica Seles, Maria Sharapova and Venus and Serena Williams, as well as a multitude of other world-class players.
