NPR radio host mocks Indiana

Breaded tenderloin: the shape of Indiana.

It was bad enough that Donald Trump took on an Indiana-born judge. Now Indiana is getting insulted, too.

On NPR’s weekly quiz show "Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me!" Saturday, host Peter Sagal brought up Trump’s charge that federal Judge Gonzalo Curiel is biased against him because of Curiel’s Mexican heritage.

“The judge is from Indiana,” Sagal pointed out.

“Same thing,” interjected panelist Faith Salie.

Actually, Sagal countered, Indiana is arguably worse than Mexico.

“I mean, where would you rather go on a vacation? Oaxaca or Elkhart? Or, you know, Gary?” Sagal asked. “`Hey, what do you want to eat tonight, honey — Mexican or Indianan?’”

"Basketballs again?" added panelist Peter Grosz.

Obviously neither Grosz or Sagal has ever had a breaded pork tenderloin sandwich as big as his head.
