We had a really good experience renting the maverick for the first time to go to Coachella. The van is kind of old, but a great deal for the price. I was a little bit hesitant to drive it because the vans are huge and I am a 4’10 girl, but it was easier to drive than I expected. There’s not as many blind spots as I expected, and if you’re not stuck in traffic the drive isn’t bad at all. Having a sink and kitchen in the back for car camping was soooo convenient, they even had a light that was on a separate batter that charged through solar panels for us to use when it was night time. The only issue I had with my van was that the trunk doors were hard to open, I found the trick to it was pulling at a certain spot to get it open, otherwise you’d have to reach over the back seat and open it from inside. The black out curtains worked great so the sun doesn’t wake you up in the morning and you can also crack the windows open and not have to worry about the dust blowing straight at you when you slept. The “bed” was kind of lumpy so I’d definitely recommend bringing a mat or a mattress topper to put over it before you put the sheets on if you’re very particular about that. They also have additional things you can rent or buy for the camper van if you come from out of town like tables and chairs. The staff was great from start to finish, the camper was ready for pick up as soon as we got there on Thursday morning. They were even able to accommodate me for an early pick up time the day of. I forgot her name, but the woman who helped us. She was white and had curly hair, was kind enough to let us know how much more it would be to upgrade from a maverick to a Del Mar even though we ended up just using the maverick. When we brought the camper back, Chris was super quick with getting me in and out of there, he told me not to worry about the window paint we used to decorate our van and that it wasn’t extra to wash it off. They also have a cute communal cubby thing where you can leave things you probably won’t need for future campers to take like books, used propane tanks, lighters, etc. I left a few items inside and then took home some window crayons for next year’s Coachella camping. My group and I will definitely be using them again if we go to future Coachella’s!

My wife and I rented a Mavericks Campervan (Linear) from Orlando for a south Florida trip. It worked out great! We arrived in the Everglades in a torrential thunder storm. We were very thankful that we didn't have to setup or sleep in a tent. Everything in the campervan worked fine and lots of folks admired the paint job. Ashleigh did an awesome job of setting it up for us and patiently answering all of our questions. I expect that we will be renting from Escape in the future. Highly recommend! Good travels...

We used Escape for our road trip to some national and state parks between LA and Seattle. We lovingly named our Maverick, Albertha, because she had quite the personality. The workers we interacted with were so kind and helpful! Especially at the branch in Seattle.
