You might be wondering…

What is a Cooperative Preschool?

This is a once in a lifetime chance to be an integral part of your child’s transition from home to the classroom.

A Unique Experience

A cooperative preschool offers parents the privilege of participating with their child 1-2 times per month in the classroom while contributing valuable ideas, talents, and experience to the school. You will be here for the entire class. On your volunteer day, parents provide a snack and drink for the students. At the end of class, our volunteers help clean-up the rooms for the next class.

Our School at a Glance

our parents have a special relationship at tender years

This could be the only opportunity you will have to be so involved in your child’s early years of education. With a cooperative preschool you will share, first-hand, your child’s classroom experience, social experience, and educational experience right along with them.

Assisting the classroom teacher affords you the opportunity to not only observe the learning process in the classroom, but also to contribute to that process by encouraging your child and others to observe, discover, question, and thus, learn.

you will grow side-by-side with your child

The in-class experience lets you get to know your child’s classmates (their new friends) on an individual basis. In addition, Tender Years parents come to know one another, growing our community. We all work together to create a fun, loving and nurturing school environment for your children.

Our cooperative preschool lets parents work closely with the teachers, giving you a true appreciation of their patience and respect for children. We are truly dedicated to the learning process.

non-volunteer status

We know that everyone lives their own unique lives, and our schedules are always loaded with availability. In that spirit, we are excited to offer the option to families to join our school even if they are not able to be in the classroom.

Families are able to be a part of our wonderful school, and have all the benefits without the requirement to volunteer in the classroom. Please contact us for more information if you’re interested in signing up with non-volunteer status.
