Crave Dessert Bar

I like atmosphere! Lava cake was delicious and I also like idea to serve water with cucumber.

Crave is a cute spot that is tucked away, but provides a nice, swanky , yet laid back vibe. I thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and well balanced playlist. Arriving around 6 on a Saturday yielded a no-wait scenario, but expect a wait of at least an hour if you arrive later, especially around 8/9ish on the weekends. While parking can be a bit limited in the area, the free parking deck behind the building provides a convenient solution. (I didn't see the parking deck, but I was informed of it by our server.)

I tried one of the premium flavored hookah and it was just ok. I would say it is a tad overpriced compared to other hookah places, but I would like to try other flavors to make a better judgement of the hookah. The standout service from Sabrina, our attentive server, and the delightful array of drinks made the visit worthwhile. The key lime pie martini, with its perfectly balanced sweetness and subtle boozy kick, was a highlight, while the crabcake sliders stole the show with their warm, seasoned crab and soft buns.
Whether it's a date night, first date, or a lively girls' outing, Crave proves to be a versatile and enjoyable dining spot worth recommending and revisiting for further drink experimentation and tasty bites.

But that's it. Desserts were mediocre and you can tell they've been frozen & then thawed. Not homemade.
None of them blew us away (esp with a name like Crave dessert bar) I was underwhelmed and would not go back.
Hookah is also $50** I've never seen it that much anywhere. Ever. FYI.

Online it says they open at 3pm but on there door it says they open at 5pm on Sunday. They were indeed open at 3pm. We were greeted with smiles once they opened and seated with no problem. We were here for my friend's birthday for drinks. The waitress explained everything for us. when we wanted something drink wise that wasn't really on the menu she was able to make it happen. All the drinks we had were just how I like it strong with a great taste. The ambiance was cute, grown and sexy vibes. They do have hookah but we did not partake. The bathrooms were very clean but then again we went on a Sunday right after they opened.

Very good food. Dip and lamb was amazing. The ambience is very chill lounge. Music isn't blasting so you can still hear your company. The service was great. She handled everything very well.

I have a bit of a mixed review! Loved the atmosphere and vibe of the place but the service needs some much needed work.

Service:
Our waitress Kaitlyn was so amazing and patient! Couldn't give her enough stars! She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and our orders was correct. She even got us free shots for the mishap with the hostess stand. HOWEVER, we were hovered over by the 'security' guards in the tight shirts and cardigans. When asked why they were hovering because they were making my friend uncomfortable he responded 'because I can' in a nasty tone and overall had a disgusting attitude for someone asking a question that is patronizing his establishment. I understand there are policies and protocols, but it would behoove him to explain their policy to new patrons before being condescending and dismissive to those trying to diffuse the situation. I have never experienced anything like that from an establishment, and I've been to many.

Waitlist:
I came in on a Friday night with a party of 7 and was put on the waitlist for an 1.5 wait which was expected for such a busy night. You're able to track your place in line via a link they send you and they text and call you when the table is ready so we were able to explore the area in the meantime! When we got back, we were promptly seated but I believe there was a miscommunication between the hostess stand and our waitress because it took about 20 minutes before we met our waitress/got water, etc.

Ambiance:
When you walk in, it's a very cute vibe. There are booths, kind of round sitting areas and a bar in the middle. It's kind of loud due to background music and talking so I wouldn't go if you're expecting a lot of intimate conversation, but more for girls night out or even a date if it's not the first one!

Food:
We ordered hookah, and I had the blue crab dip and bread pudding. Both were delicious. The blue crab dip had a lot of pieces of crab and the bread pudding was warm and came with a cream that complimented very well. The hookah was a little too harsh for me and the flavor was just okay.

Parking:
I'm not sure if they had their own lot but I ended up parking across the street for about $12.50 for 10 hours.

Pop into this posh, cozy, classy bar for bomb deserts and top-tier ambiance. It's a staple in Uptown. The "Detailed Devil" red velvet cupcake is on-point and you can't go wrong with free parking! Don't forget to get validated with a receipt for the apartment complex located behind Crave.

I was back in Charlotte again this year and was so excited to visit Crave! We went for my best friends graduation dinner. There was a company party happening so we had to wait about 20 minutes which wasn't a problem. This time, I got another chocolate martini, bacon jam sliders, and of course hookah! Everything was yummy except the sliders, they were pretty dry. Also, when I asked to see the owner Clint to say hi, he never came to the table. That was a bit disappointing. He was talking to one of the cooks and just looking around. But I still like crave, especially for the drinks and hookah!
