Rude, overpriced. I could not get a clear dental plan from the dentist. He gave me 30 seconds of his time and acted like I wasn't worth the dirt he walks on

This place had to change its name from BeachSIDE Dental to BeachFRONT Dental to try to rebrand themselves. HA!

AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID this place!!

I left a LENGTHY review a few years ago regarding this place, and since they've changed their name it looks like my review has since VANISHED... I'm still correcting the terrible work I had done in 2010 from this office!

I went to this place for a root canal and crown, I think I saw Dr. Sameer Aljanedi. I had a lot of anxiety during the procedure and towards the end of drilling the novocaine started to wear off. I complained about the pain and asked for more-- I mean it really hurt!! I don't remember the exact words, but he didn't give me more and told me to just toughen up.

A few weeks later, I noticed the crown didn't fit very well and the gum was receding. They said they 'guarantee' their work and to come back and have the crown redone. I had such a bad experience there was no way I was going to see the same Dr. again.

I saw Dr. Miele for the 2nd attempt. Still, the crown did NOT fit. It was super bulky and wasn't making full contact with the tooth. Flossing was a nightmare. After all these terrible experience, I attempted to file a grievance. Lory, the office manager was the meanest, most unsympathetic person I've ever dealt with!

I was $2000 in the hole and had to have this tooth fixed-- I went back for a third time in 2012 to try to finally get this crown right. Again, it's a terrible fit! After the third attempt, I was done!
I remember leaving the office in tears because of how terrible the experience was with Dr. Miele and Lory.

I'm about to finally get this crown fixed and it's what caused me to come back and warn others to avoid this place.

I can't thank this dental office enough! From Emma at the front desk she is so welcoming and friendly. The managers Eva and Susie always caring and doing their best to work with you payment wise. Dr. Silva is the most trust worthy, friendly and makes you feel so comfortable! He's amazing! Not to mention the assistants: Jackie, Rosie, & June! They are so sweet and go above and beyond. Highly recommend Beachside dental for how comfortable of an environment they make for all patients.

Stay away! The dentists never last more than 6 months. Freaking revolving door.

Xrays every time but they missed a big cavity. Later the tooth broke and the damage was below the bone line so the tooth had to go. The new dentist looked at the previous xrays from 6 months before. It would have required a lot of work but I could have keep the tooth and avoided the bone graft...

We went to a new dentist because my wife's crown broke. 2 root canals they did were not done right. They didn't fill the roots after removing the nerve. So now off to a new dental surgeon to get that redone...

The WTF part is the old root canal and crown cost twice as much as what the new dentist my doctor recommended is charging. Really???

My advice to you is run to a dentist who has their name on the door. Odds are they will still be there in 6 months...

They changed their name. I just found out that my son should of had his baby teeth removed years ago. Now we need a surgeon to remove his baby teeth so the impacted Canine teeth can be pulled out which will be a 6 month process. My daughter was told that my grandkids had multiple cavities that would have cost hundreds. She got a second opinion was told that it is not necessary depending how bad when they're baby teeth ready to come out. Worse they never had the cavities they mentioned. They're all about money and not about the patients care.

Dr. Silva, Jorge and Rosie are the best! And I consider myself to have high standards. My experience with them is that they are attentive, thorough, compassionate, professional and walk in integrity. As a healthcare professional I know customer service is a huge challenge when someone is scared or, in need. I am someone who fears dental work, so I want a reliable, thoughtful provider. I found that here.

This was the worst experience I've ever had in a dentist office. (It doesn't deserve the one star)The office is unethical and dishonest and prescribe unnecessary treatments in order to get the most money from your insurance, and you.
I really had no idea that a place like this exists.
I ended up going to Lake Forest Dental Health Care, and had such great service, and no unnecessary treatments. totally worth the drive.

Don't ever get a dental cleaning and exam from a slick ad in the mail from Beachside Dental Group in HB. While $25 may sound like a really good deal with a full set of x-rays, only until you receive their estimate on the amount of dental work they recommend. For me it was $4,800! (9 fillings and 4 inlays for a total of 13 cavities). I was shocked because I was going in for a simple cleaning and check-up and had no mouth pain.

Anyway, I got a 2nd opinion from my childhood dentist and guess what? He sees no cavities and no dental work needed! He only saw a few small stains that he said could be watched for 10 years and may still not turn into a cavity. He said their estimate included removing my silver fillings and replacing them with inlays, something that didn't need to be done. The only tooth that my family dentist was concerned about was one that Beachside Dental hadn't even noted, a tooth that was damaged by an impacted wisdom tooth.

What's more, when I left Beachside Dental they never even gave me the cleaning - just x-rays and an exam. They said I needed to come back for a "deep cleaning" which would cost extra. However, my family dentist said that the cleaning I needed was nothing more than a "standard" cleaning.

I agree with the other reviews. These people are crooks. They are creating business for themselves by offering an ultra-cheap initial cleaning and exam (minus the cleaning) and then recommending work that doesn't necessarily need to be done.

Thirteen months ago I had a couple of crowns done here. The next month we moved to La Habra. I needed to find a new dentist. Seven months ago, my last cleaning (I know I'm a little late) that new dentist pointed out that one of my new crowns was poorly done. It wasn't properly set. It over hung some. I had an unpleasant experience at this dentist office so I dismissed his commentary. I had noticed that the floss was getting caught on that tooth, though. A week ago today, that crown chipped. I was having some trail mix that all the sudden was extremely crunchy. Later I noticed the gap.

I came here to have them review their shoddy work. They had no intention of backing their work. I could tell from the start. The x-ray tech was instantly on the attack. "How did you crack it?" "I was having some trail mix." "Oh you cant have that. You have to baby those things." I could have said marshmallow he would have probably said the same thing. The dentist comes in, takes a glance, and tells me she will send in the finance lady. They offered me a prorated discounted price. She tried to educate me about porcelain. "Porcelain is a glass product, it can break." Anything can break, if it's not set properly. In my line of work, I know porcelain. Yes it is a glass product but a very strong glass. If it's set properly it can be stronger than granite even. If its not set properly, there's an over hang, it makes it extremely vulnerable to breaks.

I shouldn't have to pay again. They should replace it for free because they stand by their work. I put in a call to that dentist form seven months ago. I intend on getting a hold of those crays from seven months ago.....
