After being discovered by Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, Canadian rockers My Darkest Days was destined for greatness. This became quite apparent when, out of thousands of rock songs released every year, the band's debut song, "Porn Star Dancing," made it to Number 1 on the Mainstream Rock chart. Fans who are lucky enough to snag tickets to one of the band's shows are in for an extreme adrenaline-fueled show. Whether fans are looking to crowd surf, jump up to loud, rhythmic music, or just sit back and enjoy the show, My Darkest Days has got it all. In 2012, the band released their sophomore album Sick and Twisted Affair to a No. 9 spot on the US Alternative Albums chart, earning two more hits with the album's title track and its lead single "Casual Sex." Fans who were only able to follow the band via the lead singer's 2013 tour with Three Days Grace will undoubtedly be ecstatic when a third album is released.
Fans love hearing the story of My Darkest Days and how they came to be in the spotlight. The band had a serendipitous rise to fame that stemmed from hard work and good connections. The band won a local rock radio contest in 2008 with their song "Every Lie," which earned them free studio time. This was the only break that the band would ever need since the lead singer's brother, a member of the major rock band Three Days Grace, was friends with Chad Kroeger of Nickelback. Once Kroeger received the demo, it was all uphill from there. These guys are great! Never heard of them before seeing them open for Three Days Grace. They were great. Been huge fans since. You have to see them live. One of the top live shows out there.
They put on a great show and made time for fans as well. Sal even let us that a picture with him. Rockin good time!!!
I live in SW Fl. and drove all the way to Mobile Alabama for Bayfest, just to see My Darkest Days perform and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! They had an outragous energy, and their set list was perfect. I Can Not Wait to see them again.. I dont care where I have to go to see them, I will make the drive again if need be. Just Amazing!!
My darkest days was one of the best bands i have ever seen live. Although I may be a little biased since they are one of my favorites, they put on a very good show and I'm sure if people didn't know their songs they would have enjoyed it. Surrender the fall was pretty good too, but it was hard to hear the vocals. And Otherwise was also fantastic, I really liked their performance even though i didn't know any of their songs prior to the concert. Finally, the venue was great it was really cool to be directly overlooking the stage, but the merch table should have been in the under 21 section as well because i really wanted to get a shirt but since i'm only 19 i could not go in to get one.
Great venue, great show!! I would definitely return to Crocodile Rock Cafe and would love to see MDD in this type of venue again. They were amazing and very true to their recorded sound, as many artists AREN'T.
AMAZING!!! My Darkest Days were incredible! True Becoming and Otherwise were amazing too. I didn't like Surrender the Fall as much but they were still really good too
The venue is awesome- it lets you get literally up close and personal with the band. Even onstage in my case! My Darkest Days was awesome! They are so into their fans! The show was geat- just one hell of a good time all around.
This concert was badass. Rock and Roll everywhere. There was 4 cover bands that were decent but once MDD got on stage all hell broke loose. Definitely worth going to see no doubt!
My darkest days was great but otherwise stole the show I would strongly recommend seeing an otherwise show!!!
Kind of wished I could have gone to the one in Michigan, but I liked that it was a smaller crowd! My darkest days are great!!! <3 em!
