Edina Aquatic Center Opens Doors for Summer

The opened its doors for the summer of 2012 this past weekend, welcoming residents from across the metro beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 9. , the water park’s newest attraction, proved to be a big hit with both kids and adults; those anxious to try upright surfing or boogie boarding on the surf simulator sometimes waited more than 30 minutes to do so.

As the day’s temperature rose above 90 degrees, every one of the aquatic center’s attractions proved a hit for those who await this annual marker that summer has officially begun.
