Nell Stephenson Shares Tips To Become 'Paleoista' Fit

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Looking to get healthy and lose weight? Become a "Paleoista"!

Nell Stephenson visited the KCAL9 studios Tuesday to talk about the Paleo Diet and its health benefits.

What is the Paleo Diet? The gluten-free, non-dairy Paleo lifestyle is based on the commonsense belief that people are intended to eat off the land: what walks on it, grows from it, or swims in its waters. It's about sticking to the kind of foods that human beings were born to consume as hunter-gatherers (grass-fed meats, free-range poultry, wild fish, fresh vegetables, fruit, and natural fats like nuts) instead of over-processed "fake foods" that have become the mainstays of many a cubicle-dweller (grains, legumes, dairy products, salt, refined sugar, and processed oils). You'll be eating things that ARE FOOD, and NOT THINGS THAT ARE NOT FOOD.

What does 'Paleoista' mean? Paleo isn't just a lifestyle for our cave-dwelling ancestors or for muscle-bound men. It is a delicious and healthy way for anyone to eat and live. With goals ranging from losing a few pounds or having a clearer complexion to supporting a gluten-free diet or even reaching peak athletic condition, Paleoistas everywhere feel satisfied and energized as they effortlessly become the leanest they have ever been, reveal skin so radiant that it appears ten years younger, find boundless energy to accomplish everything on their to-do list, enjoy delicious, decadent REAL food at every single meal.
