Rok Sushi Kitchen in Hermosa Beach serves up traditional and contemporary sushi, as well as grilled fish, chicken and shrimp dishes. Grab a seat at a long sushi bar with a Bruce Lee movie playing on the wall above the chefs' heads, and enjoy some reasonably good sushi. Most guests, however, pair cocktails or saké in the lounge with an array of specialty rolls --- the list pays homage to the Lakers, Kings and Bruce Lee --- or consume oyster shooters and hamachi tacos. Desserts point westward with dulce de leche cheesecake and chocolate soufflés, and a small international wine list is offered. A DJ spins music late into the night, and an upstairs VIP lounge offers bottle service and a view of the action from above.
