Bacon lovers can bite into the Maple Bacon, made with sharp cheddar, brick spread, and maple bacon on white bread, while vegetarians can nosh on the "Shroom" – Portobello, goat cheese, Havarti, and parsley pesto on multi-grain bread. Go the French route with some French Double Crème Brie paired with Date Lady Date syrup, or take a trip to Italy with a bit of Fontina Val D'Aosta and D'Artagnan ham. Their "Tickler" cheddar is great to make a classic grilled cheese along with a few slices of Nueske's Wild Cherrywood smoked bacon. If you don't feel like cooking, you can always walk in and grab a Murray's Melt, made with three types of cheese curds and baked on a Pullman loaf. Check out their website for more details and shipping information, or stop into one of their Greenwich Village or Grand Central locations to get the cheesy scoop.

If you're a fan of that classy pimento cheese, then you have to try the Pimento Cheese sandwich over at Bobwhite Counter. This no-frills grilled cheese is what makes it so great. It's not entirely simple, however -- there are some collard greens tossed in between those two slices of grilled sourdough. You may taste a hint of red pepper, too. Looking for something a bit heartier? Try their fried chicken sandwich with bread and butter pickles and add on Pimento cheese for an extra dollar. Yum!
