STAR 101.5 Listeners Pick Sumner's The Buttered Biscuit for Best Breakfast Location

Listeners of STAR 101.5 Morning Show hosted Kent Phillips and Alan Budwill have voted Sumner's The Buttered Biscuit as the place to find the Northwest's Best Breakfast.

Listeners of STAR 101.5 Morning Show hosted Kent Phillips and Alan Budwill have voted Sumner's The Buttered Biscuit as the place to find the Northwest's Best Breakfast.

According to the station, listeners were asked to call in or sent a Facebook message with their favorite breakfast location as part of the 18th Annual STAR 101.5 Northwest’s Best Breakfast contest.

After all votes were counted, winning by a close margin, new comer to the poll The Buttered Biscuit in Sumner known for their “Authentic Gramma Food”was crowned the Northwest’s Best Breakfast location.  Leann, an employee at The Buttered Biscuit during a phone call with Kent and Alan exclaimed, "Gramma will be so excited – she owns the place!” after breaking the good news to her.  When asked about their most famous menu items she responded, “Chicken Fried Steak, ‘S.O.S’ (otherwise known as biscuits and gravy), Cinnamon Rolls and our homemade from head to toe Rueben Sandwich.”  

The Buttered Biscuit was to be presented with a special plaque courtesy of Trophies2Go.com.

Multi-time winner and last year’s reigning champion, Sun Break Cafe in Auburn, took 2nd place. The Maltby Café in Snohomish ran a close 3rd place.

Kent Phillips, STAR 101.5 Morning Show co-host said, “There was more voting than ever before with online and social media weighing in.”
