Do they do reservations?
A:
No they don't. If you're getting there for brunch, I'd advise you to get there early.

Stopped in for some brunch but ended up just grabbing a few mimosas with my boyfriend which were great! The environment was fun, and the service was on point. Will definitely be stopping by again to try out some brunch!

Three stars is a stretch on the food. The gravy is water thin and the grits I got were cold. The big plus though are the three dollar bloody Mary's and memos.
Service was average and it was very hard to get a refill on a cup of coffee.
One final thing. They had a 20% gratuity onto the check and don't exactly let you know about it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cynthia L.Port Jefferson, NY14100135Mar 11, 2024
Stopped in for Sunday brunch around 2:00, and the place was busy. With a quick glance around I v CB oils see mimosa towers and many people enjoying the drink specials for the day. I had the BBQ brisket benne. It is served up on a delicious biscuit instead of an English muffin and as you can see perfectly poached eggs waiting to let that runny yolk flow. The flavor was good, though I'm only giving 4 stars because of the temperature of the food. Potatoes were hot the rest was just barely warm. After seeing a few shows about what may happen to food that is sent back, I don't complain, unless I do so at the end of the meal as feedback. The wait staff was polite and the food came out fairly quickly. If one is tired of overpriced hotel food this is a good stop.

We went for brunch and the food was amazing. The best one of the best eggs Benedict I've ever had. But the service was even better. The wait staff was personable and we stayed for a few extra drinks just because of them.

Mimosas are strong and the vibe is really nice. Steak actually cooked to perfection, medium eggs, nice and soft. I will definitely be back.

I love their brunch and brunch only! It's a great vibe in there. The staff is always friendly and attentive but the food is better at brunch than dinner time

Went to Automatic Slim's because it had been years and USED to be one of my fav brunch spots. It's not crowded when I get there, but service is slow. I order my usual. Takes a long time to come out and it's disgusting. They gave me a baby redfish or just a piece of it. Figured maybe that was the cost of inflation. My red velvet pancakes came out and my 3 yo said "What is that?" They were thin and pink. Not at all what we normally eat. But I figured she would pour syrup all over them and not care. After she played around in them, I tasted one. It was horrible. Asked the waitress to swap it for a plain waffle. When it finally came out, after a long wait, I just boxed it up and left. And gratuity was automatically included even after the ridiculous wait time. Guess it's no longer on my fav brunch spot list. I'm sad.

Nope. Never coming back. I went here for the first time today for brunch. I walked up to the door, and they will automatically charge 20% gratuity for parties of 2 or more. Huh? That's a first. I've seen 5 or 6 more. Never 2.
So I arrived a few minutes before my friend because she was still looking for parking. Once she arrived, it took the waitress about 15 minutes to appear. I ordered French toast, which was really good. However, when we got our checks at the end, my head wanted to explode. So they charge a 2.5% credit card processing fee. Wow. So what if you want to use cash? This is not mentioned anywhere on their menu. Terrible restaurant.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jun 27, 2023
This restaurant was within walking distance of my hotel in downtown Memphis and was perfect for that due to lack of parking. There is a sign by the door when you immediately walk in stating that they charge 20% gratuity for parties of two or more, which was pretty absurd to me but oh well. The use of space downstairs and upstairs in the restaurant was wise as the space is not as spacious. There's not a ton of options available on the brunch/breakfast menu but the portion size of the food is decent. The food was just okay, but I was turned off by the up charge. For a plate of eggs, bacon, hash browns and three pancakes cost me $33.10. Yes ridiculous! This included a 20% automatic gratuity, 2.5% debit/credit card fee (even if your paying with cash) plus tax. Basically you're paying for convenience and not excellent food. Honestly, it would be better to drive somewhere for better food for the price.
