My absolute favorite dinner spot in this whole city! Whenever recommending fine dining, or just GOOD Mexican food I always suggest Regalito. It serves such a tasty, classic, and home style taste of cooking that just leaves you feeling so satisfied. I highly suggest the carnitas plate or the enchiladas verde and the house drinks!
It's a perfect spot for a birthday, celebration, or date night. The service is also incredible and so attentive, they simply treat you like family upon walking in. So much love to Regalito & it's talented staff /ownershipHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1222197449Jul 27, 2023
Had a dinner gathering with friends on a Saturday evening and managed to land the long table at the back. The garden view with the tropical plants really set the mood. The menu, filled with Mexican classics, is straightforward and commendably, almost entirely gluten-free - a big win for our diverse group.
I chose the cochinita pibil and my girlfriend went for the carne asada. We started with tostadas and guacamole paired with a spicy habanero salsa. Those tostadas? Fresh and crisp. The guacamole was solid, and the salsa had quite the kick! The portions of our mains were modest, but with the sides, they were satisfying. Both dishes were flavorful, although a touch more seasoning would've made them perfect. A note on the proteins: my cochinita pibil could've been a tad more tender, and while the carne asada was juicy, a little more tenderness would have elevated it.
A special shoutout to our server, Francisco. Managing a large group isn't easy, but he was attentive, on point, and truly made our evening smoother.
All said, if I find myself in the area again and am in the mood for a gluten-free meal, I'd be happy to drop by.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ray N.San Francisco, CA37653Feb 13, 2024
This place is great. I wanted to order several things, and was sad I could only order one. But it was damn good. I got the mole: it was outstanding. The sauce was deeply complex, and just the right mix of spicy (like lots of spices, not necessarily just hot), sweet, and hot. The homemade tortillas were thick and tasty as hell. And the service was great. Next time I'm getting the hot dog.

This pollo con mole is SO good and comes with a side of tortillas! Everytime I come here I get this dish and it's never disappointed me. The servers here are friendly and attentive to when you might need a refill or dessert. The place itself isn't the biggest but does have a space in the back with a mini garden. I've come here both after work (6pm) and during dinner time (7-8pm)--both times I've never waited for a table. The agave margarita is refreshing AND strong. Highly suggest!

Small restaurant, nice ambience. My enchiladas were overall good, though I felt the sauce was a bit tangy. The guacamole was great and I loved the chili salsa. Limited menu but there are vegetarian items. 3.5/5, rounding up to 4 because of the very friendly staff.

Regalito is a great little restaurant for both Mexican and New Mexican cuisine. We have been here couple of times and loved the food every time. The restaurant also has nice decor and service is very warm. Highly recommend.

Loved this entire experience. From the second we walked in they treated us like family. They offered excellent recs on dishes/spice level. The food was delicious. The chips were hot and crisp and the enchaladas were fire. Felt like a home cooked meal.

A great Mexican restaurant in the Mission. As locals, we love many of the taquerias, but for a dining experience in Mexican cuisine this is a must. Its a family owned business giving their heart and soul. Especially with the homemade corn tortillas. Everything we ordered was amazing and had leftovers for my lunch the next day. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

They've been in the neighborhood for over 10 years. A little pricey but not bad. We have dined here many times and never disappointed. - Jose R.Union City, CA51910Oct 6, 2023

We live in the heart of the mission. The warm service . coupled with the great food has made this our fancy tasty dinner of choice. The ambience is casual, unlike many places here it's not crowded. I always have the cochinita Pibil. My kid always has the carnitas. The plates are so good we just don't want to switch. The mojito is great. And for dessert tres leches or the absolute best churros and cinnamon hot chocolate you will ever have.
