RIP Crazy Dough. Although your pizza was not particularly delicious, a single slice was enormous and hit the spot at 1am. Hope Pizza Heaven is great and not full of rowdy drunk college kids as I remembered.

I've visited Crazy Dough's twice this year and both visits have been pretty underwhelming. Both times, the pizza was only lukewarm and lacked the explosion of flavor I remembered from previous visits.
In my most recent visit, I ordered a side of garlic knots and was told they would take 15 minutes to be ready. After 20 minutes, I checked up on the status and was told they were in the oven. After 30 minutes, I checked up again and was told that they were still sitting in the oven. I asked the person check up on them (which she already should have been doing) only to discover ....that they were never put in the oven. Miscommunications between staff happen from time to time and so I try to be understanding whenever they do, but what disappoints me is that they didn't even attempt to actually check up on my order until I requested it and instead kept giving me baseless answers.
And by the way, shortly before I left, another gentleman came in to pick up his order and they realized they had forgotten to make it... I really hope they get their act together quickly because I've definitely had good experiences from this place in the past.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Dec 11, 2015Previous reviewI really like the variety of this place. The first time I ate here, I had a lot of trouble deciding what to order because all of the pizzas on display looked so good! I ended up settling with the bacon potato cheddar slice which was loaded with flavor and tasted incredible. In addition, it had a thick but crispy crust which I really enjoyed. I also had the classic cheese slice which also tasted good. Both slices were massive and well-worth the price.
I've tried for years to find New York caliber pizzas in Boston, to no avail. I'm glad I found Crazy Dough's, because it definitely stacks up as far as variety, quality, and quantity-for-price. - Andrew L.Baton Rouge, LA1718322Nov 18, 2016
I ordered 2 slices that the person subsequently forgot about while she was texting someone on her phone. When I got someone's attention to get my slices out of the oven, I received profoundly burnt, hard-as-a-rock slices. I asked for new slices and was told no. They probably wouldn't have tasted much better fresh anyway.
Worthless establishment.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 24, 2016
We flew in from Ohio that morning, then spent nearly 4 hours at the Museum of Fine Arts. We needed something quick and delicious, and this really was the perfect answer. Only a few minutes from the Museum, I found a parking spot around the corner which was great. This is a pizza by the slice or full pie kind of place, so since we were only ordering slices the food came out very quickly. They had plenty of great seating, and we were able to grab a table and eat without any delay. It really hit the spot and it was so delicious! We would definitely go back if we were in the area again.

I love Crazy Dough's. I'm the friggin' duke of this one. I go there all the time, and i love thier slices.
But this is about the salads.
They can never. get. them. right.
I've been in 3 times recently to get salads (i'm avoiding carbs, hence salads instead of pizza). Each time they have screwed up in some day, either the salad wasn't as ordered, took forever, or both.
1st time:
Salad ordered: Cobb with no cheese, and balsamic. Received: Field greens salad with cheese, after long wait.
2nd time:
Salad ordered: Cobb with no cheese and balsamic. Received: Cobb with cheese and balsamic.
3rd time:
Ordered: greek salad with chicken. Received: greek salad with no chicken.
This was after another long wait, and having them ask me no less than 4 times "greek salad?" and i clearly and loudy replied "Greek with CHCKEN".
They just aren't putting the same attention into the salads as the pizzas, so if you aren't going to bother doing that, just don't offer anything but pizza.
I shouldn't have gotten 3 orders in a row wrong. And i each time, they put in the order. and sit there while they do nothing, until they remember "on yeah, someone has to make this guys salad."
utterly unacceptable!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 124471107May 21, 2014
We stopped in on the way to a Red Sox game for a quick snack to hold us over. Our choice was the potato and bacon pizza. It was good, but could have been a little better for the "artisanal" slice. Service and atmosphere was good. They seemed to have a nice beer selection.
I might try it again if in the area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 23, 2008
Concept : Fantastic
Execution : Superb
Service: Adequate
You may see some new inventions of Domino's innovative,. Crazy Dough is always a several steps ahead when it comes to "Crazy" topping.
I think it'd be such a waist if you order a slice of plain cheese. If you order that, just walk a few doors down toward Boylston to get a slice from Little Stevie's.
You can get most out of this place by ordering very unconventional toppings such as BBQ chicken, some veggie delights, whatever the other stuff I can't recall what but crazy & yummy stuff.
They do serve beers, so you can socialize there you are at the pub and have various pizzas at the same time!

THANK YOU!
So, I work down the street and I'm usually good about packing a healthy lunch for work. Every once in a while, I fall off that grind and forget to bring my lunch. I don't like to reserve expensive lunches on workdays. If I'm going to pay more for a meal, I'd rather have more time to savor it.
Well, working in Back Bay doesn't give me a lot of options. There are a couple more spots to go to but Crazy Dough has always been there to serve me a giant slice of pizza for only 3 dollars. Three dollars can get you a pizza slice with toppings more interesting than pepperoni.
I'd rather spend 3 dollars on a quick lunch rather than 11. I'll be back again, I'm sure!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Roger L.Allston, MA517Nov 20, 2006
Be adventurous. Don't be afraid to order simply by pointing at the one that looks coolest.
Lots of options, changing menu. I'd like to recommend the reuben and nacho pizzas.
This place is great if you want pizza but don't want "pizza"Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Kirs P.Saint Petersburg, FL7426314Nov 10, 2006
I do love the Crazy Dough's Pizza. I don't like their prices, and sometimes I don't like their attitude. But, their pizzas are so good I don't tend to mind. Although it is wicked annoying when you've been ordering from them for months, you call them up and they say they don't deliver to your area. I don't like having to talk to managers, but man, I wanted my pizza, and you are an idiot. I also wish they'd invest in a computer system so I could just give them my number and voila! all my info shows up. I shouldn't have to spell out my easy, easy street name everytime I call.
Anyway- here's what you should order- the nutty tuscan. Word of warning: if you don't eat the meat and you order this for your veggies and a meat pizza for the animal eaters then make sure you order two. The meat eaters will totally grub off your pizza and you won't get as much. This is a fact. It has happened to me more than once. Similar experiences have occurred with the eggplant parmesan pizza.
I've always wanted to try the nacho pizza. But I'm afraid. And sometimes I wish I ate meat so I could have the Reuben pizza. I heart sauerkraut. I heart pizza. Could be heaven.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
