Wow. I almost don't want to write this review. I come here through classpass and I feel like a discovered a gem and I'm worried other classpassers will catch on too. Classes don't fill up too quickly and I can reserve a spot pretty easily.
I've only been here once and it's definitely beginner-friendly. They are very descriptive with their instructions and are conscious about safety first! The class was just so fun! I can't wait to come again. I am just giving it 4 stars though because it might not be the challenge some might be looking for, but this is just the aerial yoga class that I'm reviewing. It's more slow paced and focused on stretching and inversions.
The atmosphere of the studio is very zen, you can tell as you walk in to check-in with the lovely lady who speaks in a whispering voice. I loved the way the studio looked with the colorful antigravity equipment hanging around.
I have my next class booked and I can't wait!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 30, 2017
Came here for the Antigravity restorative class. Studio is located next to a nice pizza shop- ring the doorbell and take elevator to 8th floor.
You have to take our your shoes before walking- super welcoming! Check in with the girl at the desk and wait for your class.
The instructor was REALLY NICE AND WELCOMING!!! So if this is your first time do not be worried at all. I've taken other aerial yoga classes but I like this one- there's just one inversion where you can flip over- you don't have to do it. It's very peaceful and meditative.
She adjusts the straps for you in the beginning and then in the middle because she lowers the wrap thing lower. Bring a mat or rent one for $2.
This is a good relaxation class- low intensity- so do not expect to sweat, etc. This class is more for stretching your muscles and going slow at your own pace.
The studio is spacious and plenty of air circulation!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 27, 2017
Staff and space were great but I got nauseas being upside down for too long. If you don't, then this would be fun and a great workout. Staff said the if you have high/low blood pressure, are pregnant, had botox in the past 24 hours and may I add if you are prone to vertigo or take medications that can cause orthostatic hypotension, this type of exercise is not for you.

Took an aerial yoga class for the first time with a friend here. I was pleasantly surprised by the space, it was small but well put together. They even have a small kitchen area and offer you fruit infused water.
So I signed up the night before the class for my friend and I, not really knowing what I was getting us into, I signed us up for aerial yoga and realized it wasn't for beginners so I canceled and signed up for fundamentals and had to cancel again and resign up for aerial yoga because there wasn't another spot left for my friend. They have a strict cancellation policy which I totally understand, in a matter of less than ten minutes I canceled about three classes which would usually result in no refunds because it was after 24hrs. However I called the studio the morning after and they were totally understanding, refunded me and made sure I was charged the first class special.
Onto the class now, my friend and I aren't yoga people, the only time I've tried yoga was being forced to take a yoga class in high school. Even though this wasn't a class for beginners, the instructor (Molly) was patient and walked around to help anyone that needed it. I enjoyed this class a lot, it was a great workout and really took me out of my cardio/weights workout comfort zone! It wasn't all easy, but we were able to keep up okay for first timers. Molly made it clear that all moves were optional and it was totally up to each individual to do what was comfortable to their level. I'm looking forward to taking more antigravity classes here!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sabia A.Brooklyn, New York, NY2774510Jan 4, 2017
Absolutely LOVE this studio! I have only taken antigravity flying fitness classes at the studio so I can't speak for the Yoga or Pilates. However my instructor for antigravity, Laura was amazing and I know she teaches every type of class at the studio so I am sure they are just as good.
Studio is super clean, dressing room available to change in, and just an overall relaxing and peaceful vibe. The decor and plants add a nice fresh touch too. Scheduling the classes are super easy online as well.
The antigravity class is great if you want to have fun and feel like you aren't actually working out (I am always sore the next morning after class). The inversions give you an unexplainable rush and after class is over, you are so relaxed and ready to come back again!
Laura is totally aware of the space and just has a great teaching quality. Her voice and spirit really makes you feel comfortable and at ease every step of the way. If you are a beginner I recommend taking her class, but make sure you book early as they get filled quickly!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 24, 2017
Would definitely recommend this studio for all the aerial classes. The ambiance is wonderful and very serene. They offer fruit infused water and tea in the kitchen area for their students. They also have essential oil diffusers throughout the studio which is great aromatherapy for everyone. There's an overall calming and relaxing vibe in this studio, fit for some yoga.
I've tried the restorative and aerial yoga class. The restorative antigravity class was great and definitely helped me stretch out all tense muscles. It was my first class, but the instructors were super helpful. It was also great for deep stretching after strenuous workouts on my own Would recommend the restorative class for those in need of a deep stretch. I enjoy the aerial yoga classes more though, because I feel like there was a lot more diversity in the movements. There were more inversions and stretches too, which I really enjoyed! You're told to trust hammocks cause they hold up to ~1000 lbs, so trust it.....
I really feel like the instructors are super helpful. They go around to each individual to make sure that they're doing alright and to correct their forms whenever needed. They do a terrific job at explaining each movement and stretch. Overall, would recommend. I come here about 1-2 a week and I feel like it's super therapeutic.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Winnie K.Washington, DC2816417Dec 12, 2016
Found them through ClassPass. First time doing aerial / anti gravity yoga and HIGHLY recommend. Our instructor was so sweet and supportive. You don't need to have any experience at all - she guided through all the steps and transitions!
The space is absolutely gorgeous, but no showers so beware if you are doing this on your lunch hour. There is a bathroom with a sink and a kitchen with complimentary tea and water. Love the large windows and plants lining that side of the room.
Highly recommend and looking forward to returning soon!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Lily C.New York, NY128196266Jan 17, 2017
If you want to try ariel yoga then this would be a great place to learn. Very clean and modern studio equipped with water, tea and snacks!
My friend and I came to the class via classpass. We had nicole as our instructor and she was great! Very friendly and great at easing us into the class.
Just a heads up-- its apparantly common to feel dizzy when you are hanging upside down and nicole assured me thats normal for beginners.
We managed to hang upside down like spiderman and learn some other balanced moves and inversion all in a hour. I would def recommend this class for anyone to try!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Rachael A.Saddle Brook, NJ97283203May 14, 2017
I took my first Arial class with Sasha. She was so patient, kind, sweet and knowledgeable. She broke down each step which made it so easy to learn. When it came to inversions she let the more experienced class members go first and she came to the new class members one-on-one to make sure you were doing the inversion correctly. I cannot wait to come back and take another class with her.
Before class, you can go into their kitchen and pour yourself one of the teas they have on their counter. Service is exceptional 5/5 stars! The studio is also very clean and decorated with plants and greenery that makes you instantly calm and at piece when arriving to class.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 242281Nov 10, 2016
I first came across ANYA on ClassPass, as I wanted to try an Aerial Yoga class. I started with the FUNdamentals, which is an excellent beginner class to get you familiar with the hammock and the style. After my first class, ANYA sent an email with a discount for purchasing classes through the studio. The prices are reasonable anyways, and with the discount, it made it all the more worth it.
Aside from the Fundamentals, i've now taken Antigravity flying fitness, Antigravity Aerial Yoga, and the Decompression Session. The studio also offers Pilates and basic yoga on the mats. You can't really go wrong with teachers, but I like Molly and Lorianne.
The space is really nice. Once you get off the elevator at the 8th floor, take your shoes off and leave them in the foyer. They have cubbies in the classrooms to keep small bags and a changing room just behind the desk if you need it. My one complaint is that the front classroom with the hammocks is often loud. It is completely open, so you can hear noise from the lobby. The instructors also play music, which can make it hard to hear their instruction.
Overall, definitely check this studio out if you're interested in Aerial yoga. The classes are great and the teachers are friendly!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
