Wow finally a place that serves some amazing new york pizza! I've been looking for a new place to get some good pizza and I have finally found the spot. Redballs pizza is a the place to get some delicious pizza. I've driven by this place many times and have always wanted to try it. I finally decide to try it and I was not disappointed!

I ordered half cheese pizza and half of the brooklyn pie which has pepperoni, sliced meatballs, and crumbled sausage. Wow was it good. The cheese pizza has a lot of flavor and is very cheesy. The brooklyn pie was also very tasty with all the different kinds of meat in the pizza.

Prices aren't too bad either for this place since its the only one around here. It's a plus too because they lowered their prices from before by a good amount. Only bad thing about this place I would say is that they charge extra for take out and the crust lacked flavor and was a bit hard. Other than that, I will be coming here from now on when I feel like a good slice of pizza.

This place was great. Great service. Super nice people. My husband and I ordered the Brooklyn Pie and a small side salad. The pizza was out in no time. There was a slight defect in our pizza, just a little hole in the center of the pizza. We didn't mind the hole, it was probably the size of a quarter. But, the server insisted that they give us an extra slice of pizza.

Very cool! Honestly, we didn't care about the hole, we were jazzed about the fast service.

Pizza was good. Tasty and fresh. Not too much cheese, sauce or toppings, a good balance.

The place was really small so either order to go or get there before the 6 pm crowd.

There's a stage for musicians to play, so it can be a cool little hangout for friends.

      Check it out!

Having lived in New York City for many years, I've been frustrated with pizza outside the 5 boroughs. Since moving to the west coast, I can't believe the low standards of west coast taste buds.

Redballs is wimpy. The crust is thin, yeah, but the toppings are an afterthought. Yesterday, I watched as garlic powder and DRIED basil leaves were added to my cheese pizza after it was baked. The crust was limp.

[Hey, all west coast pizza joints: if you're not using fresh mozzarella delivered daily and fresh toppings, you're not serving real pizza.]

Redballs has an inviting ambience and it seems that they're trying to do the right thing, but they just don't get it when it comes to pizza. (I didn't try other foods on their menu.) Their pizza is routine and it'll fill your stomach, but it's not worth the price. Sorry.

Stopped here for lunch after picking up my computer from the Sony shop. The place is decorated in--you guessed it--a rock and roll theme. I like the snare drum lamp fixtures.

I ordered the lunch special: two slices of cheese pizza, small salad and a drink for $6.99. The salad was fresh and the pizza was nice and thin. I like slices that have to be folded or rolled. Tasty crust. Just the right amount of sauce and cheese.

Definitely a place I'll visit again for lunch. I like!

Stopped by in the middle fo a weekday afternoon and ordered the 2 slices, side salad and can of soda special. It was $6.99 plus tax. Only one employee was on that time of day and between the counter, the phone and the kitchen he was kept pretty busy. None the less, he seemed to be enjoying his job and all of us customers were taken care of pretty quickly.

      Some of the positives

--As the name suggests this place rocks..they were playing a concert video (b-52s I think) when I walked in. They have an excellent sound system turned up lot enough to be foreground music, but not loud enough to piss anyone off.

--They have an extensive menu for a small place with pastas, soups, sandwiches abd other choices for non-pizza eaters (if such people exist)

--they had a photo of the Ramones with Dee Dee Ramone's autograph) in the rest room,

--they served some pretty good sized slices.

      Now the only downers--

--they dont have fountain soft drinks, my Diet A & W was from a can

--It is a sad fact of life here in Los Angeles that a store will not sell enough pizza slices to keep a fresh inventory. Unless one lucks out
on the timing, pizza slices must be reheated.

These slices survived the reheating better than most, yet the crust was still a bit too crispy. Even so, it was still basically foldable. One of these days I will bring a friend or two, go in the evening and get a whole pie. I have a feeling I am going to like it. I'll keep you posted.

Pizzas are a good circumference, and they're the thin NY style. The only issues I had were that they tend to have less toppings than other places and they are pretty greasy. For $20+ per pizza (including tax and tip) I'd like more toppings.

The Brooklyn was jut ok. I'm not a huge meat toppings lover when it comes to pizza so it was just decent to me. I enjoyed the Urban Cowboy much more cause I liked the different flavors going on.

      I'd give them a 3.5

Not really a place for date night, but probably fun for kids or hanging out with friends.

The best New York Style ever tasted. I had my doubts before coming over, but the quality of the pizza has made me want to come back for another visit and refer this to my friends and family. Pizzas are made fresh and served with the cheese still bubbling.

Customer service has exceeded my expectations. We were greeted the moment we came in and provided excellent customer service.

So I experienced Blueballs pizza for the first time today. I had already read the reviews and knew what to expect. My goal for the day was to grab the dog, wash the car and get some slices. I rolled into RB's around noon and they were make pie's. I asked for two slices and after 5 minutes I was out the door heading up Topanga to my place.

I could see I was an early bird due to the US vs England...but the pizza looked pretty fresh. Got home cracked the box, red peppered it up, and folded it in half. Pretty decent sizes for what I paid (could be hair cheaper), but not over the top. Sauce was perfect, great flavors from the cheese, crust was perfect in tickness, and a little hit of cornmeal.

Definitely going back and would probably op for a whole pizza.

This place is great. The food, the people, and the service. I got the plain cheese pizza and I liked it a lot. The cheese and the sauces they use gives it a different taste inside your mouth.

There's a great atmosphere in the place with their different rock and roll stars on their walls and tables. There service is top notch. The only downfall I don't understand is that they charge extra for to go orders. So I HIGHLY SUGGEST you say you are eating there and take 2 bites and then leave. So for the cheese instead of it being $10.99 I paid $11.99+ tax w/ that.

The website for this place has character and the reviews here were outstanding.

Unfortunately, we were met with much disappointment when we pulled into the the lot of Red balls and walked into something much different.

We hit this place at around 9pm on a FRIDAY night to grab a pie to go. We figured that since they close at 11pm, 9pm would be reasonable to check it out as I'd beat the friday night "rush".

We walk in and there are only two people sitting in the place at a table in the corner drinking and chatting. Behind the counter is a friendly lady who takes our order. We go ahead and order a Sicilian pie to go. She immediately shouts to the two guys sitting in the restaurant asking if they had any sicilians available. Well, apparently the two guys sitting there work there and one of them was the cook.

The guy responds that we (my gf and I) should not order an entire pie and that we should just order slices. We ask what else they had and basically they repeated the argument about how we shouldnt think about ordering any pies and just order slices. Slices referred to a piece of the drab glob of cheese pizza they had sitting out for who knows how long.

Typically I only order full pies whenever i get pizza so I don't end up with some POS slice that's been sitting out for months/years. Being the first time visiting a joint and knowing that I would be posting a review, I felt it was best to get a fresh one. In addition, who DOESNT like eating leftover pizza for breakfast ^_^.

Too bad the only option we were left with ordering was a slice of the only pizza that was sitting out and looked like it would be met with the fate of being dumped at closing.

It's obvious we cant order a fresh pie of *something*...*anything* because "[we] wouldn't be able to finish it".

*** Redballs Protip: You're not supposed to order entire pies if you can't finish it in one sitting. ***

It's 9pm at a joint that closes at 11. We've been saving our appetites for Redballs all day because we knew the portions were gonna be big. We surrender to the POS/drab/blah slices out of pure hunger.

Was this NY style pizza? We've had NY pizza and it is amazing. The slice we had, on the other hand.... was far from it.
