At VRC, Racquet is our middle name...literally! We started out as a racquets centre and gradually converted our facility into the multi-fitness centre we are today. We have four Racquetball courts and three Squash courts. The floors in all the courts are made of hardwood maple, cushioned by sleepers and rubber pads underneath the wood, and are all regulation size.
In addition to Racquetball, 4 of our courts are also all convertible for other sports, and come with hooks to support nets for playing Badminton or Wallyball. Court One even doubles as half Basketball court. VRC provides free equipment rentals to members for all of the above, as well as indoor soccer, which can also be played in any of the courts.
VRC runs seasonal Squash and Racquetball leagues for those interested in competitive play, and regular court bookings for casual play. We rent racquets, balls and protective eyewear at front desk. The front desk also keeps copies of official rules and guidelines for those who want to learn, or brush up on the game.
New to Squash and Racquetball? On Tuesday nights during the busy season we run a club sponsored “Racquets Time Out” where beginners can play a few games, pick up some tips, and meet new members. If you can’t make Tuesday evenings, we are always willing to match you up with players. VRC is home to many members who play well and play often. In fact, some of our members have been named national champions. Between our personal training staff and our regular players, partners and opponents are easy to find at VRC.
