The sculpture "Tocatta" by Paul Braun is part of the "Exploration of Nature" exhibit opening Friday at the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach.

Nature's beauty and mystery highlights the new exhibition opening Friday at the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach. The Cultural Center's main gallery will showcase "Exploration of Nature," which comprises works by artists Gretchen Ebersol and Paul Braun.

Ebersol's mixed media art explores flora and fauna from Florida, the Caribbean and Central and South America. She combines drawing, painting, collage and direct printing techniques to create layered works of art.

Braun's sculptures are inspired by ancient construction and mystical carvings such as Stonehenge, New Grange and Knowth.

The Cultural Center's community gallery will feature artwork by Midge Scelzo, the Celebrate 2010 Best in Show winner.

There will be an opening reception from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday. Both exhibitions will be on display through Dec. 29.

The Cultural Center is at 50 Executive Way. For more information, call 280-0614 or visit www.ccpvb.org.
