Is this restaurant wheelchair accessible? My cousin has cerebral palsy and I'd like to take him here if possible.

      A:

Honestly, it's really small and cramped in there. You can swing by in person to see if before you take your cousin but, I don't see how it would fit.

      Fish and chips done right.

      A creamy pint of Kilkenny.

British pub decor in a cozy divey way.

Old Brit pop and punk playing. Nothing like enjoying a brew and some eats listening to the sweet sounds of the Sex Pistols, The Damned, and the Buzzcocks.

Kind of low-key and grimy. The kind of spot to chill out at a table and take it all in.

Dr Who, Benny Hill, David Bowie, Beatles posters on the walls. Proper.

After this I wanted to immediately jump on a plane to jolly old London.

      God Save The Queen.

When Brooklyn meets Britain, you get the Atlantic ChipShop. For all my UK friends who are even a bit homesick, you can find a small piece of home here. (I mean I think/hope so... it was pretty darn close to the food I had while in London!)

We had a late Sunday lunch here - my friends got the Sunday Roast and I got the vegetarian English Breakfast. We shared the chips. Everything was so good! The meal was hearty - BIG portions of comfort food so make sure you come hungry.

Bonus points to our waiter - they ran out of every beer I liked but he really went out of his way to find me the perfect beer... and he did!

This is one of those places you want to keep to yourself because it's truly a hidden gem. Solid food, chill atmosphere, great service, good value. I can't wait to be back.

      I heart this place

Is it the best fish n chips I've ever had? No*, but it's certainly one of the finest I've had in New York. It feels a bit nostalgic for me when I walk in, being raised by a bunch of Scottish people. There's almost nothing I like more than a place that will serve me mushy peas and shepherd's pie, alongside a belhaven, and if I'm in the mood, an aero bar for the road.

Its got the ambiance I'd expect walking into any pub in the UK; soccer flags on the walls, TVs in the corner with football on, a large wooden bar, and bench seating. The food options range from traditional fish and chips (spring for the haddock, it's worth it) and a scotch egg (pass on it, there are other bars who do it better), to a bit more unusual fare like fried pizza. Haven't tried the haggis yet, but its certainly on my list. Anyway, no matter what you choose, you'll be walking out of here feeling like a greasy mess; but honestly isn't that what you walked in here for?

For me, the proper way to do the chip shop is to park yourself at bar have a pint or two then order up a hot plate of fish and chips. That said, you can't get hurt** here regardless of what you order.

Well this was a treat, a very fat, oil-filled delicious treat. I was super excited to come here with friends for lunch. Who can say no to fried food?! Especially fried food that is executed well. I ordered an assortment of things and honestly, this place knows how to fry. Everything came up freshly fried, crisp and crunchy on the outside, piping hot meat/fish/potato/mac and cheese/pizza on the inside. The inside of the restaurant can look rather dark and divey but expected from a place that specializes in fried food.

Fried Mac and Cheese - I would go back just for this. The mac and cheese on the inside was super creamy, soft to the bite and full of that cheesy flavor. The fried outside was super crisp, held up super well and delicious with the mac and cheese. The ball is pretty sizeable. I shared between two other people and it was definitely enough for us, especially with all the other food that was coming.

Fried Pizza - just as good in execution as the mac and cheese. The pizza was a thinner slice and it came with two slices. Literally just pizza fried up. Cheesy with pizza sauce.

Scotch Eggs - Comes with cherry tomatoes and a bit of greens. Eggs were hard-boiled and meat around the eggs was plentiful. This might have been my least favorite but still good regardless.

Cod and chips - huge in portion. It came with a slice of lemon and tarter sauce. The fried cod was huge. I ate the whole thing but totally can be shared between two people. The cod was perfectly fried on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside. Flakey and hot, steam coming out as you cut into the cod. French fries were your typical thicker cut fries. That was also huge in portion.

We washed all that grease with some hibiscus cider which was also delicious and refreshing. Overall, a great lunch experience. The service as a little slow because it was a prime hour during the weekend and there was only really one server but she was attentive when she could be and the food was quick to come out.

Can't believe that the original location was closed a few years ago and I have never been there. I heard about this place a while ago from a coworker. And he said they deep fry everything here!

Finally, I was able to give it a try at the Atlantic location. The decor of this place really reminded me of an old English pub. There were a lot of English posters hanging on the walls. The tables were decorated with English stamps and coins.

I got the full English breakfast. It came with a lot of things. My favorite items were the tomato, which was tender and juicy, and the toast, which was thick and crispy. My husband got the bangers and mash, which tasted very good. Finally, we got to try the most famous fried Twinkie, which I have been wanting to for the longest time! It served with homemade berry sauce, which was a plus.

I would definitely like to go back and try the other deep fried items, such as the fish & chips and deep fried candy bars.

Ehh...I just got a "rushed" feeling here when we stopped in for just a beer and no food.

The Bartender was not focused and too busy chatting w/ co-workers or friends and not seeming very accommodating.

I took a small flight that is 5 tiny glasses for $12. Not bad, but in the age of "craft beers" I wanted some feedback on what was what.

I felt too rushed to make an inquiry about the type and taste, and ended up with 3 out of 4 losers.

The atmosphere does seem to closely resemble a traditional English pub, but you shouldn't need to be a regular to get good service. With that, I took my Brexit on this one. Many other options in the immediate area.

      Always love this place.

They give you soooooo much food and it's always tasty! The classic fish and chips are the way to go. I have heard great things about their English breakfast brunch as well.

They have a ton of beer options, plus a ton of unique bottled beers with some hilarious descriptions.

We went during a soccer game and it was the most fun I've had watching a sport (probably ever).

Great environment, great staff, great food

Fried shrimp and fish. That dipping sauce is unreal

Ohhhh Atlantic ChipShop.. I was recommended this pub by a coworker of mine. He's a foodie with good taste so I figured I'd try this out. I was also craving some god damn fish & chips. This place did not disappoint. The beer is fair priced (we went during the World Cup so they had $5 specials. So. Good.) The fish and chips was perfect, the batter was great, the chips were delish. We also tried the mushroom Mac & cheese which was so good. The only complaint is the peas were clearly crusty frozen peas. But it's fine.

I will definitely be returning. Parking can be hard if you go on a weekend (I went Saturday in June) but we luckily found a spot under 10 minutes. Just a heads up.

I had so much fun here! The decor and vibe was divey British pub, the beer selection was great and the service was polite and attentive.
I, of course, had the fish (cod) and chips (btw you can pick what kind of fish you have in your fish and chips!) and was very happy with it. It was fried and breaded goodness-awesome summer comfort food that reminds me of vacationing in London : ) good times. I'll definitely be hanging out here again!

This place feels like a bar for some reason. It's dark, a little on the loud side, and the seats are quite close to each other. I had the haddock and chips, fish was crispy and fresh, melted in my mouth, generous portions. Service was ok as the waiter didn't really check up on us and never filled our cups with water. Parking is quite hard to find in this area especially on a weekend. There are some shopping stores nearby if you want to take a stroll after dinner.
