MC Salon and Spa

I booked MC Hair Collective for mine and my bridal party's hair and makeup for my wedding in Sep 2022 and I cannot say better things about our experience with them! They did such a fantastic job and everyone looked so beautiful. Gena (the coordinator for booking) was so friendly and accessible - she was very quick to respond to emails and answered any questions I had to ensure a smooth wedding getting ready location for my bridal party and me! I did my bridal hair and makeup trials with them, so we could figure out exactly what I wanted and it was executed just perfectly. I got so many compliments on my look! We also were able to have a space to ourselves in the back of the studio for the day of where we could set our stuff down, eat, drink, etc which was so nice- I would highly recommend them. They just absolutely rocked it!

I got a fantastic haircut with Molly today. I haven't had a haircut the whole time during the pandemic, so she had a lot of hair to cut which wasn't an issue at all. The salon was extremely nice inside and everybody was very friendly too. I also got lucky that it was customer appreciation week too! it's hard for me to find a place where I can get a good men's haircut, but it was no problem since she is very professional and friendly. I had an appointment scheduled and waited over 32 minutes before I asked the receptionist if something was wrong. No, apparently the stylist was working on another client. My last two appointments have been like this but I did not have to wait in excess of 30 minutes. When I asked if there was a problem, the receptionist went to my stylist and the stylist could not even come out to tell me she was running late. No communication. I get that things come up but the way this was handled was unprofessional.

I always get perfect men's cuts from Julia and leave 100% happy. She is a real talent and a pleasure to chat with during all appointments. MC has done a great job during the pandemic and balances social distancing with a spa experience like real pro's!

Lori was my hair specialist and she was amazing. I was a typical uncertain customer ... wanted something flattering, something new, and just put color and cut in her hands... she did whatever she thought would be excellent and it really is excellent! Tasteful Highlights, color and cut! It didn't take too long and she was available the same day I called in (which may not always be the case, but it was nice she was available)! From the moment I walked into the place, everyone was so pleasant, offering drinks and reading material. It was the best experience I've ever had, with getting my hair done! If you're at a crossroad and don't know what to do with your mane.... please see these hair dinamos! They rock!

Online scheduling is not a guarantee you'll get an appt... which doesn't seem like a good business tactic. I received an email referring me to another salon... funny thing is the referral even wasn't attached... never attempted to make it work. Now the month is booked up.. If you are reading this... might as well pick a different salon, or skip the online scheduling.

Overall I had a decent experience with my cut/color today, but it was not a GREAT experience. I did not like the haircut, and I definitely did not feel that the cut/color was worth the hefty price which was over $150. I've officially decided to switch to my friend's salon where prices are $100 less for a perm and $100 less for color. Way overpriced and I never feel great about whatever I've had done to my hair. I'm sad to say goodbye but I can't handle the disappointment anymore.

Went for a balayage root touch up with Meghana. She's a top tier $175 specialist on their website. I'm a natural blonde, and prefer honey tones for a naturally highlighted look. This was discussed at our first visit and since she didn't ask for the touch up, I assumed they referred to their computer. The coloring started out normal with the appropriate balayaged root on one side of my head. As she worked her way around she applied the bleach heavier and fully to the root at my natural partline and the entire top of my head? Even if i wanted more blonde, she should not have bleached my entire part to the root. It will now grow out in a line? Not sure why she did the when we discussed how beautifully the first round had grown out. I was in shock, my hair now is bleached platinum on the side with the part and nicely balayaged on the other side? Did she forget halfway through? As a natural blonde looking for q highlight, I sat in bleach for 45 minutes while she chatted up another client. Did she forget about me? The other stylists seemed to be side eyeing us, but no one was speaking up. I have yellow tones, and look like i could have done this myself. It was obvious. She was not touching my hair again, in shock i paid and left. I cried my eyes out and called back the next day. I told them i was very unhappy and they needed to fix it. They gave me to Christen and said she was the best at color correction. She was kind and asked if I'd had it done there, i was surprised as upset as i was that they had not relayed the information to her that i provided them. Instead, I had to sit in the middle of their business and bad mouth one of their people. She attempted to pull some honey tones through my hair very finely but said that it wasn't permanent hair color so the more i washed my hair the shorter the fix would be. And I would need to return and have a few more things done over time (at my cost) to get me"back to where i wanted" . I'm sorry, I trusted your company and paid a premium and its on me?? I washed my hair once and have already turned that fun gross orange that will return to the awful yellow soon I'm sure. So, no fix. I requested a full refund. I dont want to go in public, I'm embarrassed to be seen even with a mask on. So, if the bleached out touch of sun on brown orangey hair look is what you desire, book with Meghana! If not, book with caution!!!!!!!! Never again!

Not very happy, I asked for something specific but I received something completely different. I will not be going back. I feel bad because I really wanted them to get it right. Great personality but not very good with color.

I came here for something fresh. My hair was starting to look a little dull and needed a refresh, I have gone months just letting it grow without much maintenance. Jackie was absolutely fantastic and gave me exactly what I needed. She asked me questions about my regular routine and took that into consideration. She gave me a new fresh look that gives body back to my hair. I could not be happier and will definitely be back!!
