Shop Hopping in Fort Worth

Fort Worth doesn't get the credit it deserves fashion-wise, and their selection of cool, well-edited boutiques proves it. We shopped April Lane, Dean-Kingston, Dolce Vita, and Bess and Evie's for unique finds, and we were beyond delighted.

After a delish lunch at new West 7th Street sushi spot, Blue, it was off to April Lane to peruse their bags and shoes. Soft suede carryalls in a range of vibrant colors from Henri Lou have almost sold out - not to worry, more are on the way - but in the meantime, the grey and goldenrod colors currently in-store are awesome for $235. We also want their Badgley Mischka cocktail shoes in cyan satin.

Dean-Kingston has maintained their sharp edge since opening  a little over two years ago; we love the leather pieces from Gestuz and the heavily embellished jackets and tops by Hannah Jo. But the piece we can't live without is the black mesh and leather dress by Poleci for $340.

If you need a great cocktail dress, Dolce Vita should be at the top of your list; a winter white Maggy London dress with long-sleeves is perfect for day-to-night dressing. Bess and Evie's - just opened in May - is vintage at it's best. The Cuban-made alligator handbag from the 40's for $55 is the definition of sartorial style. A black mini-dress with bow at the hem is also fab for $34.

Don't miss the gallery of great finds!
