Mike Moyer has been a steady influence to the regional soccer scene for over 40 years.  Moyer has coached players, and instructed coaches at almost every level, including two United States Olympic Festivals.  At the festivals, Moyer served as assistant coach of the East Women's and Men's teams, to Hank Leung and Ed Townsley, and former MLS and Real Salt Lake Head Coach John Ellinger.  He taught physical education for 17 years, and coached high school boys' soccer for 17 years, where he amassed a 305-103-15 record at (3) Berks County schools... Wilson, Exeter and Fleetwood. 

He also coached the Wilson High School Girls for three seasons where he led the Bulldogs to 77-5-1 record, and was inducted into the Berks County High School Girls' Soccer Coaches Association Hall of Fame.  Overall, during 20 high school seasons, Moyer's teams have recorded 9 Berks County championships, 4 PIAA District III AAA championships and 3 PIAA State Final appearances... winning one state championship with Wilson. 

As a player, Moyer was named 1st team all-county in 1976 as the starting defender for Fleetwood High School's Berks County and District III championship team.  After graduation he played Division One college soccer at West Chester State College, and was a member of the East Coast Conference championship team as a freshman. Moyer was the starting center midfielder and co-captain his senior year at West Chester.

Moyer, who was awarded the USSF "A" license in 1987,  has been on staff at some of the top clinics and camps in the nation.  He has been directing soccer camps since 1983.  He has been an EPYSA ODP head coach, and has instructed numerous coaching schools, including the United States Soccer Federation National Coaching Schools, where he was an evaluator for USSF "B" coaching license candidates.  Moyer coached the FC Delco U-19 Boys' team to a state cup championship in 1995. 

Moyer coached professionally in the USL for two franchises.  He was the assistant coach for the Philadelphia Freedom under Mike Gorni, and was the head coach for the Reading Rage professional team, where in his second season, guided the Rage to the only divisional championship in its professional team history. 

Moyer's network to the college game is unmatched.  His relationship with the top college programs and coaches around the nation will be extremely beneficial to the FC REV players and parents.  He has successfully recommended and guided hundreds and hundreds of players to successful college programs.  

Mike lives in Wyomissing and is married to Jen Moyer, who teaches health & physical education in the Twin Valley School District, and has 3 children:  Keegan - 35, Mia - 25, and Max - 23... one grandson - Brooks - 5, and one granddaughter Everly - 2.

·Organized a friendly match at Fleetwood High School between the Reading Rage USL D3 Professional Team and the United States U-20 Team

· Coached and organized numerous area youth indoor/outdoor teams, including nationally recognized FC DELCO

·Organized local coaching clinics and soccer camps for youth players, coaches and parents, 

·Organized coaching clinics with US National Team and former LA Galaxy Head Coach - Bruce Arena

·Organized fund raising campaign for Reading-Berks Soccer European Tour
