Tumbling

 

All tumbling classes meet once per week. Placement is determined by level and/or age.

Young Beg. Tumbling – Ages 3 – 5. (45 minutes) Students will focus on rolls, headstands, handstands, cartwheels, back-bends, coordination, strength and flexibility.

Young Adv. Tumbling – Ages 4 – 6. (45 minutes) Students will focus on rolls, headstands, handstands, cartwheels, back-bends, kickovers, standing beck-bends, coordination, strength and flexibility.

Beginning Tumbling – (1 hour) Students must already be able to do a decent cartwheel and handstand. Students will focus on perfecting rolls, headstands, handstands, cartwheels and back-bends. They will also learn kickovers, walkovers and back hansprings.

Intermediate Tumbling – (1 hour) Students must already be able to do walkovers and be close or already have their back handspring. Students will focus on aerials, walkovers, back handsprings and running passes.

Advanced Tumbling – (1 hour) Students must already be able to do walkovers and back handsprings. Students will focus on aerials, tucks, layouts and power tumbling passes.

What to Wear
A biketard or leotard with shorts or leggings is best.  No buttons, zippers, pockets or jewelry should be worn to tumbling.

Boys wear t-shirts and shorts – no buttons, pockets or zippers please.  Sweat pants or shorts with elastic waist are best.
