Sister and brother, Eva and Jacob Agi, are the talented designing duo that has paired up to create "L.A. & Jo's" unique designs. Backed by their father Jo, they have built upon a history of French clothing design created by their mother Rachel, to fashion their unique identity as evidenced by the leather mini skirts, flirty cocktail dresses, sequin leggings and faux fur vests that the young pair has created. These fashions are affordable and stylish, priced low in comparison to the high end shops where you would find similar designs. At the center of the store there is a line by Rachel, their mother who continues to create pieces for the modern yet stylish woman. With a penchant for today's style Eva has big plans for continuing to design fashions and attend school in New York.
Lynne Curtin of the Real Housewives of Orange County was on hand discussing and displaying her trendy new line of cuffs for the evening. Wearing a sleek short black dress her cuff styles are edgy with a mix of colors, stones and gems, fleur-de-lis being one of her own favorite motifs to wear. Her idea was to make affordable cuffs in the same designs as ones you would see for $300-$400 in an upscale store yet offer prices which are less than half of those. These unique designs are just the start for her as she is planning a line of handbags, purses and bed linens in the upcoming future. You can see her cuffs on her newly designed site called Lynne Curtin Designs.
Taylor Armstrong of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills also came in for a look at L.A. & Jo's new holiday collection. A self-proclaimed " YSL girl" she donned one of the camel colored faux fur vests which matched perfectly with her wit and charm not to mention her lovely hair which she says she styles herself. When asked if the fights and high drama on the show are real she replied "Unfortunately it is! This is what happens when you put six women in one room together!" While checking out the the new line and talking about making Christmas dinner for her family she said "I like Southern food! I'm gonna make a cornbread and biscuit stuffing with serrano chiles that's super spicy". And what would she do in life if she could choose anything she proclaimed "I would be a philanthropist."
Other items in the store include silver and gold-toned jewelry, colorful candles that smell divine, and handbags in addition to the lovely array of clothing for today's woman. This is the place to shop for your holiday party and even get some gifts for others while in the store too. L.A. & Jo is located in the Santa Monica Place Mall on the 2nd Floor in Suite 214.
