I like FlirtyGirl because I feel comfortable taking classes here with friendly instructors and because it's all female.

I've been to the Pole Dance classes which they are famous for but they are much more than that.

Their fitness classes are very good. But you have to find the right instructor for you. I have my preferences but it's because I like a certain style of work out. I like the Abs and Booty class, Fab Firm.

The dance classes are super fun, especially with MJ. I made the mistake once of taking one of the dance classes, and ran into a bad instructor. There was no challenge in the steps nor did I break a sweat. I was really disappointed. Pick your instructor carefully, read their bio on the website, or ask someone who's been there.

Pole dance is a great workout, but the 1st half hour they go thru the basics, and then you only get the next maybe 20mins to dance. All the pole dance classes are like this, so going to multiple ones are kind of dulling. Would love it if they can have prior experience dance classes.

The ambiance is nice, and the facilities are usually clean. They have have showers and provide hair dryers, shave cream etc.

Although prices might be expensive ($20 for 1 hr class), after goign for a few, and if you like it, wait for their punch card deals which makes it about $13 a class since you get some free ones. They say it expires after a year, but they will extend it if you ask them.

Certainly not the most inclusive environment, nor the cheapest.

I visited Flirty twice as a guest, once for Zumba and once for Cardio HipHop. I found that both times the instructors assumed we all were familiar with the dance moves, and didn't explain much. For all my tripping over my feet, I broke a great sweat both times.

Inside, it's EXACTLY what you would expect from a place called Flirty Girl - pink, sparkly, adorned with butterfly decals and staffed with blondes with skintight workout pants on. Not my thing (I like to look a sloppy, sweaty mess at the gym and not worry), but if you're a big Sex and the City fan, you might like a place like Flirty Girl.

Don't let the cute name and girly, fluffy interior fool you...the trappings of this gym look genteel but once you get a taste of some of their workouts...you will feel the pain as well as earn some extra abs in the process.

As a person who hates gyms and any form of physical exercise (sweating is for idiots, I've been known to say) I found the unique selection of classes at Flirty Girl appealing to my appreciation for all things novel.
I initially came here to try their pole dance class for shits & giggles with some girlfriends, but soon enough I got bit by the pole dancing bug. Most of the instructors are fantastic ( I found Daina & Krista to be amazing!) and really keep you motivated to learn new moves. The pricing is actually quite fair if you take advantage of their punch-card promotions which is offered when you sign-up for their email notifications.

The only caveat is the changeroom/ shower area is small, so it's probably best you save the showering or primping at home.

If you're craving a change from the norm of regular gym workouts and boring yoga classes, from Poledancing to MTV choreography you'll find something fun and engaging at Flirty Girl.

I enjoy this place - I do! This review is based on the one Coyote Ugly class and a 2-hour weekend Pole Dance workshop. Both times I went in for birthdays and both times sweated it out with lots of fun.

The Pole Dance class was definitely a standout for me. The class atmosphere is relaxed and paced just right. There's plenty of pole usage and lots of time to practice the spins. It's a complete workout! Be prepared for sore arms, quads and back the day after.

While I appreciate that Flirty Girls strives to be a regular, but fun alternative gym, I see it more as a 'special occasion with the girls' type of place and I will definitely continue to consider this place for future high energy group activities.

I was disappointment with the Stiletto Striptease class I took May 11th. We didn't know to bring a shirt and tie, and there was a bridal shower which I am sure was great fun for the bride to be and her guests but for nobody to offer to take our pictures as well wasn't nice & this isn't the first time. We were there out for a Girl's Day as well and we've taken a few workshops. I understand celebrations are important but your other customers should also be important.

This wasn't the first time I've been disappointed in a workshop with Flirty Girl, I've taken a pole workshop and we've had to share poles. Overbooking like that is not cool.

I took a pole dancing workshop here a little while ago. The decor of the place is pretty slick and the staff is very nice. My instructor, also nice, but very tough. She came around to all those in need (me) giving constructive criticism, and showed everyone how to do the moves properly while keeping their sexy on. Be prepared to have your butt kicked. Sore legs and shoulders for a week, and lots of bruises on my legs. Clearly I need more practice :)

The workout was phenomenal and I intend to try more of the fantastic classes they offer.

I grew up watching movies like Flashdance, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Footloose. I loved Fame and Star Search was one of my all time favourite TV shows. In so many ways I was led to believe that we are all destined to sing and dance on cue. They made it look so easy - even when Jennifer Beals sweated circles around her loft she made dancing look effortless (in reality a body double did most of the work)

Marie Antoinette declared, "let them eat cake" - I say, "let them swing around a brass pole!"

I had been previously to Flirty Girl Fitness and had a blast, but the two hour Coyote Ugly party that was part of my cousin's bachelorette was THE BEST!

The whole thing was hilarious, informative and FUN! Not only did we all learn a sexy choreographed dance to the best Coyote Ugly song ever (Shania Twain's "Man I Feel Like A Woman"), but we got to go up and dance it out on the bar after. We all dressed in denim shorts, tanks, plaid shirts, cowboy boots and hats, so it made it even more fun. Plus, our instructor was super hot! She also had no problem re-showing us parts. Some of the moves were super fast, but just whip your hair around and improvise and you'll look amazing. Warning: you may experience some self-inflicted whiplash.

We chose to have the private event licensed so we brought vodka and food. During the class, they brought us out drinks on trays that they mixed and when the class was done the girls had set up all our food and drinks really nicely in a side room. It was actually incredibly awesome and my favourite part of the entire night. I highly, highly recommend it. However, it was pricey. Just under $70 each not including the food and drinks.

Back to those previous times I've been. I find the classes at Flirty Girl more challenging than classes at other gyms. It may look all girly and pink, but these are tough classes that require dedication and incredible core strength. If you're looking to be pushed while trying something daring and new then this is your place. It's run solely on classes and workshops (no cardio equipment here) but you workout harder than cardio and regular classes combined.

FG is all about the sexy, sweaty times. With seductive (some say corny) class names and over-the-top female empowerment it is a gym like no other. I wish it was closer to my house and not hidden away to the side of the downtown core.

ok went here once again this time for pole dancing.
and yes I still like this place. but I'm going from 5 stars to 3now. here is why.

last time I signed up for lap dancing but since we had too many people in the class they switched it to chair dance. that was still fun.
this time again there were too many people in the class and instead of 1-2-1 with the pole we all had to share a pole with another person. ok it still was fun.

however, when I sign up for a particular class I set particular expectations. I still want to learn lap dance but now not sure that it won't be swapped to another routine once I arrive and pay. and yes I would like to have a full 2 hr workshop of pole dancing with 1-2-1 with the pole so I can learn more instead of waiting next to the wall while another person is learning same move on our shared pole.

so here. let's see what happens when I go there 3rd time.

Bought a pole from Flirty Girl and they vastly overcharged me as well as did not tell me the import tax would be over $100 above the price of the pole. The pole itself is flimsy and hard to install. I also have the Lil Mynx pole and much prefer it. It is solid and easy to install. Should have just gone back to Lil Mynx. Grrrr. Do not buy a pole from Flirty Girl.
