- For your convenience, if you are renting or returning equipment outside of regullar business hours, we can usually arrange a drop off/ p/u location on route.
To ensure AVAIALABILTY keep the following in mind:
- 1-7 bicycles, requires 4 hrs up to 4 days prior reservations
- 8-15 bicycles requires 4 HOURS up to 10 days prior reservations.
- 15-30 bicycles requires 8 Hrs up to 14 days prior reservations,
- 30-40 bicycles requires 48 Hrs up to 120 days prior reservations,
- More than 40 bicycles requires 72 Hrs up to 120 days prior reservations

HOW TO
HOW TO RENT OUR BICYCLES
Serving Central Ontario
HOW TO RENT OUR EQUIPMENT:
STEP 1. We highly recommend you pre-order your RENTAL Equipment. We supply to All of Central Ontario, and seasonal to Ottawa, and parts of Quebec.
Based on the time of year, the events going on, and the number of bicycles/equipment you require may take 3 hours up to 33 months to order in and prepare for your event. Always call us in advance, or take a chance we have what your want availability.
- Let us know what city you require the rental equipment in, as we service ALL OF Central Ontario,
- By Friday evening most bicycles and staff are NOT AVAILABLE, unless one of our mechanics has completed his service calls, and someone in the office is available.
- Applies to all equipment
- Assists in the fight against invasive plant species been transmitted, which leads to destroying natural habitats.
- Rental Equipment MUST come back in same condition, if you wish to get back a portion of any mandatory cleaning fees, consider taking the time to clean your bicycle in detail... Your cleaning deposit may be prorated, If for any reason we can't quickly turn around and hand the rental equipment over to the next customer.
- Damages deposits are required on all our equipment, you must make payment. This fee applies to all rental equipment.
- The damage deposit covers a smal portion of minor broken, damaged or missing components, such as, chain guard, flat tire(s), wheel truing or replacement, kickstand, covers, derailleur or hanger, additionmal p/u & delivery of replacement parts or rental equipment to/from customer.
- If no damages are found, the portion of Damage Deposit is refunded within 7 business days from the time a full inspection by a certified bicycle mechanic has been completed.
- If damaged, the customer is required to pay in full, not limited to the replacement value and all shipping costs of there rental equipment.
STEP 2. Once you have spoken to one of our staff at: 705-718-1606/1-855-795-4482, and decided on which type of bicycle(s) to rent,
STEP 3. Click-on the words, " Rent A..." and fill in your rental reservation form (.example: Rent a Defy road bicycle today!) The words "Rent a Defy will take you to Reservation form, to fill out and order any style of bicycle. If you need help call us.
STEP 4. Wait for a response via email/TEXT, or call us back.
STEP 5. There can be last minute changes to our inventory, if there is, we will notify you as soon as possible, in most cases we have an alternative bicycle available. if you have last minute changes on style of bicycle you want to ride, please let us know as soon as possible.
IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF WHAT TYPE OF BICYCLE TO RENT, WE WILL HELP YOU CHOOSE, THE RIGHT STYLE AND FIT, we don't expect you to pay until we know what's available for you in your category of riding and that your comfortable with your choice.
NOTE: Any refunds are subject to a minimum 3.5% admin. service charge. WE DO NOT PROVIDE SAME DAY REFUNDS DUE WEATHER OR LAST MINUTE CHANGES ON YOUR PART.
STEP 6. Once you have spoken or received an email/Text response GO Back To this page and make PAYMENT, you must include :
A. Rental fee,

B. Delivery w/return P/U
C. Rental Duration
D. Delivery Fees can also be selected on the bicycle rental or on the Delivery services page. If your not able to pick up your rentals on our designated days, you can also pay a LOCAL storage fee. STEP 7. Make sure: when receiving your rental equipment, the person receiving equipment has signing authority, and you will be required to have a photograph of the reciever (you or other) with your rental equipment and transport vehicle, and proper ID, You’ll be good to go.
NOTE: If you are paying and someone else is receiving, we must have proof of your ID, sent to us, or a hard copy provided at time of pick up, INCLUDING: a letter drawn up by you, giving permission with full signing authority for the person receiving the equipment to represent you on your behalf.
Born to Ride Bicycle will confirm; Date & Time and that you have made the correct payments, everything will be coordinated.
RETURNING RENTAL EQUIPMENT:
STEP A. The staff member that supplies you the rental equipment will usually coordinate drop off and pick-up for your equipment, in the most convenient way possible, We are relatively flexible, when it comes to returning the Rental Equipment.
STEP B. After you have returned your Rental bicycles/equipment; within 7 business days, a bicycle mechanic will assess the rental equipment
He will photograph, clean, inspect, and service your rental equipment,
NOTE: Bicycle parts can take 3 weeks up to 2 years to get in. So. if you damage the bicycle, that could leave the next person out a bicycle to rent.
STEP C. After the bicycle/equipment has been thoroughly cleaned and serviced: Any elligible refunds will provided. This includes any remaining damage deposit, in most cases Cleaning fees are non refundable, Refunds are subject to a minimum 3.5% service administration charge,
NOTE: If you are renting a Mountain bike, expect to give up your mandatiory cleaning fee.

- RENTAL DURATION:
if there isn't an option for the exact number of days renting, add to cart and ADJUST the QTY option to suit.
For example if you wish to rent for 7 days select 4 day rental, then go back to shopping and select daily rental, add to cart, then under QTY increase by 3. That gives you 7 days, Or just increase your 4 day rental to 4 day qty x 2 two , we give you the 4th day free, so your only paying for 3 days. Call us at 1-855-795-4482 / 705-718-1606
Rentals are on a 1st PAY basis, if you don't make payment after you reserve your equipment, you may lose your rental to the next paying customer.
Helmets & locks are included in the price of a rental (excluding children under the age of 8 yrs) Helmets are mandatory to wear.
If you're supply you're own helmet, let us know in your reservation form. We also stock a limited number of full face Helmets for small to medium size heads, we suggest you contact your Resort, they may also offer helmets.

- 8 years or younger the child/parent must provide their own helmet. Typically our helmets don't fit young children.Bicycle Rentals for durations of a month or greater must include a security deposit. See drop down pricing. A monthly Tune-Up, may be required, at additional cost. See Bicycle Repairs for tune up rates.
- Your order is not secured, until we have received confirmation of payment.
- ALL sales and bookings are FINAL 48 hours prior to receiving Equipment
- NO SAME DAY REFUNDS, no matter what the reason
- Within 21 days from payment a 3.5% Administration charge applies to refunds, including Deposits.
- Greater than 21 days, from payment a 7.0% Administration charge applies for ALL refunds, including Deposits.
- All Rental Equipment is subject a cleaning fee.
- Mountain bikes; coming back soiled & dirty on any moving parts, Cleaning fees are non refundable, All equipment is washed/wiped down and cleaned, and serviced, before it goes out to the next user. this also alllows our mechanic to correct, tune up and assess each rental bicycle before going out again.
- Gift Certificates: are non-refundable 90 days from purchase, and becomes null and void if not used within 2 years from purchase.
- If you make a purchase of any product that we no longer stock or cannot provide within an expect deadline, you will be refunded in full.
- If you knowingly make a purchase expecting the purchase of a product that has been identified as a item that could take 1 month or greater to receive, and is recognized as an order made specific to your purchase, or you accept an alternative product as sufficient to be of similar value. we will not provide a refund , unless our supplier cannot supply the product you requested, then we will provide a refund.
USED BICYCLE SALES
During off Peak, we may sell off bicycles. Our Used bicycle purchases includes one Free tune up with basic truing within one year of purchase.

Our bicycles are maintained weekly, and used by five star resorts.
When you purchase a bicycle, always test ride it make sure your satisfied with its performance, if you have any issues, bring it to our attention, so our bicycle mechanic (on duty) can make adjustments for you. Any issues after purchase has a 30 day warranty on labour. All parts are at additional cost to the customer.
