ART BUSINESS - How to make a living as an artist or craft artisan.- $80.00
Instructor Dennis Brady
to be held at DeBrady-Victorian Studio Workshop in Victoria BC
Dates to be announced
It is possible to make a good living as an artist or craft artisan. As good as any tradesperson such as a carpenter, electrician, mechanic or plumber. Whether you’re a painter, a potter, a carver or a candlemaker and whether you work in metal, glass, clay or fabric; making and selling art or craft is a business and how well your business does depends entirely on how you do business.
This is not a class to teach you how to do better work. It’s a class to teach you how to do better at making money from your work. Your instructor Dennis Brady has been a full time professional glass artisan for 30 years during which time he has taught and mentored hundreds of artists and artisans that work in a variety of disciplines how to become money-making part-time and full-time professionals.
Discussion will include how to find a working balance between price, product, and place; how to create a plan that works for artist and artisan entrepreneurs; and how to launch a successful business selling your work.
