If you're looking for a good workout this is the place to go. The size of the course looks deceiving. At first glance I thought no way would it take over two hours but it did. After a 25 minute intro on safety gear and transferring you climb on a rope ladder to start our adventure. My friends and I did the 2.5 hour play day option which lets you choose your own path. Some of the activities were more challenging than others. There are a few staff members sprinkled throughout the course to help you with your transfers and for any questions. But mostly you're on your own. I think most of the time was spent on waiting for an activity to open up or for your transfer buddy to help you. When there was about 45 mins left the staff let us know. Some people used that as an opportunity to exit but you're more than welcome to stay the whole duration. Great fun for all ages.
Some tips:
The entrance is in the back of the old Red Hook Brewery
Purchase a deal online (such as Groupon)
Bring at least one water bottle (available for purchase)
Bring gloves or at least take off any rings
Leave valuables in the car (there's a communal box you can drop your stuff in)
Go to the restroom before (only portables available)
Baseball caps ok underneath the helmet
Cell phones ok as long as you can secure itHelpful 10Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0 - Oct 24, 2018
Every staff member was really great and went over extensive safety training before we climbed high into the tree tops.
The "Play Day" Groupon deal I bought with friends for 1/2 price made this adventure even more enjoyable.
I consider myself to be pretty active (lots of cardio and weights each week) but let me tell you how SORE I am today, 3 days later. I used muscles I didn't know I had and really worked my core. So be prepared for that but don't let it scare you from all the fun you'll have.
I enjoyed chatting with my fellow adventurers and seeing everyone from all ages and skill sets master the various courses offered.
2+ hours of doing these activities will wear you out, at least it did me.
Can't say I would do it again only cause it was seriously nerve wracking but I'm so glad I conquered my fears and went for it!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 21, 2014
My first reaction was, "Where's the rest of it?" It looked a lot smaller than the pictures I had seen and I was a little disappointed. However, once you get up there's, it's a lot bigger than expected.
I, personally, did not know I was scared of heights until I looked up and then looked down. I think I did more holding on than anything else. The staff are super friendly and full of enthusiasm and encouragement. I was able to do 3 maybe 4 of the courses, but at one point, someone had to help me over the log. Lol. I admit, I thought I was going to cry.
The groupon deal was cheap. I purchased one for me and a friend. The booking process was easy online and when I had questions that I needed answers to prior to booking, I always received helpful info via phone.
I think everyone should try this. I probably won't go again because I am indeed aware of my fear of heights but it was a good experience and makes for good memories.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Amanda!
We hear that a lot, "where's the rest of it?" and are so very pleased that you discovered the rest of it once you got up on the course. More importantly, we want to thank you for your review and helping us spread the word about our little adventure park.

Some coworkers and I went to Adventura yesterday for a team building event. The course looks really cool and is definitely like a big playground up in the air. My team had a great time trying all of the different obstacles, especially the rope swing and the zip line. I, however, am absolutely terrified of heights. Our guides, Trevor and Zack, basically had to take turns babysitting me while also supervising the rest of the team. Both of them made me feel much more comfortable being up there, even if I did spend most of the time sitting on the starting platform. (I did work up the nerve to walk across a log, but only while Zack guided me across.) We didn't interact with Kyle as much, but he was also really personable!
Overall, the team had a great time and it was an excellent team building experience. Thanks Zack, Trevor, and Kyle!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mel S.Mukilteo, WA1241May 28, 2016
The staff here is top notch. Safety is their #1 priority, and they are at the top with you giving you tips, supporting you, talking you out of your fear, and challenging you when you're ready! I am terrified of heights, even though I knew I was completely safe. No one forced me to try something until I was ready. The staff is patient, knowledgeable, and understanding. They even offer to do a walk with you before you do it alone.
I thought that the 2.5 hours would go slowly, since I was scared, but it blew by. The first half hour is harnessing up, going over rules, and practicing on the ground. Then you climb the big net up one or two at a time. Once at the top, I had about an hour and a half of free play. Some people went through every obstacle, some (like me) only went through a few. It's amazing how fear brings people together, and you will likely make friends with someone other than with whom you came. My husband did his own things, and I stuck with the other people who were a little more fearful like me. Again, the staff was encouraging, never making you feel bad or forcing you past your level of comfort.
It was drizzling the whole time we were there, but a raincoat and sneakers were enough. I didn't wear gloves, but I heard some people say they wish they had. You can take a water bottle up with you, but you'll want to leave everything else in the car. When you're done, you get a coupon for a free special at a local winery of your choice, to use that day or another day.
I would definitely recommend this, even if you're afraid of heights!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Billy, Nathan, Sam and Nick were super awesome! My friends and I found a groupon for Adventura and having not done anything like this before, we definitely opted in. It was definitely worth it. The instructional portion was done very well, everything was easy to understand. The course had routes of varying difficulty to cater to those more confident than others. It was an overall great experience!

I recommend adding this to your itinerary if you've already visited all the other Seattle landmarks. The staff was great, the parking lot is free, and there are porta-potties by the check-in area. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, the course looks small and like it wouldn't take up the whole 2.5 hours, but it does!
Unlike other aerial courses, this one isn't linear. At every pillar you have your choice of about 3 different obstacles to proceed with. The staff described it as a "choose your own adventure" course. This allowed the group to spread out really quickly and because there wasn't anyone waiting on me to go before they could go, I never felt rushed.
There's 2 ticket versions: regular and adults only. You might want to consider booking the adults only one because kids have zero fear and will jump through their obstacle. Their bouncing bounces the WHOLE structure. It's all safe but if you're trying to balance on a tightrope or cross a shaky bridge, the unnecessary bouncing gets really annoying and unnerving. If you're okay with that, then either version will be fine for you! I had 2 kids in my group and although there were times when they got crazy with their bouncing, it was tolerable and I still had a great time!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Thanks Ana!
What a well written review. We're pleased to know you had a great time and are sharing that with the world of yelpers.
Yes, the course moves as people play. It is designed that way on purpose. In my book, you get gold stars for pointing this distinction out. I will add that our course is not really built for kids. We built it for adults which is why we have a number of conditions for kids to be on the course.

I went to an aerial playground back in Ontario, Canada and it was HUGE. We climbed up multiple courses and each one had one or more ziplines going back to the ground. The routes were really creatively set up. There were some where we had to craw through barrels, and some where we had to switch sides multiple times to get through.
I haven't been to any other places like Adventura in Washington but I had read the reviews and expected a small course. Trying not to be biased by my frame of reference to the tree trekking adventure I did back in Ontario, here are some of the things I liked and disliked about this place:
Likes:
-Friendly staff, the training was kept fun and entertaining
-I came with a large group of friends and it was great to always have a view of what other people were doing.
-With the limited set of routes, we quickly became familiar with them and got to try more goofy things like completing the course with our eyes closed , partnered up, in a conga line, or on someones back
Dislikes:
-This place is kind of hard to find. There are signs but they're on the floor and hard to spot
-lack of variety in the obstacles. I think it's fine that the entire playground was small but some of the courses were almost the same (i.e. walking across a log)
-We were told the platforms should only carry 3 people but they got very crowded very quickly, forcing people to relocate to another location they may not have wanted to go to
-Pricing. I purchased the ticket off groupon (~$50) which was around the same price I paid for the much bigger park in Ontario. I'm surprised that $50 was the discounted price because I found that even kind of pricey for the utility I got out of it.
Overall I think it was fun to try at least once. I wouldn't personally come back again since I did everything I wanted to do this first time around.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Thanks for the review Lin! We appreciate that you took the time to write us up and post. We've been working the city permits for expanding the course to add 36 new elements, but as with all things that involve the city, it is very slow going.
Thanks for also talking about our staff. It takes a certain type of personality to do what they do with passion.
Last, We hear you about the pricing. Unfortunately, we are at a location that commands a premium in land costs. It's a trade-off being surrounded by wineries and so close to the pub versus being more remote and not in the heart of a place like wine country.
Again, many many thanks for the review. Hopefully we'll have a bigger course for you to review in the future.

Awesome! Started out scary but the expert staff were extremely helpful and great teachers, so by the end of our session I was a different person in my confidence and skill level!

Arrived and saw the course before even parking. my initial thought from the ground view was that this is pretty small and I would get bored quickly. That wasn't the case.
Checking in:
sign waiver and use the bathroom prior.
Getting set up:
Safety is key and communication. The staff will teach you how to properly transfer between elements. putting the harness on is like stepping into shorts. The ropes are already tied for you, you just have to connect it to the harness. all this will be explained and demonstrated to you. Again use the bathroom prior and hopefully your brought water with you.
On the top:
You've reach the top! congratulations! you challenge at your own risk and you choose the elements how you see fit. there are different levels of difficulty up there and you can make it more challenging by asking the staff for a challenge.
The staff:
Selene, Victoria, Nathan and everyone that I missed were all awesome. They are also able to be your transfer buddy (which you learn before getting up there).
Overall:
my husband and i had a lot of fun! found this place on Groupon and I always check the reviews before even purchasing a Groupon. Glad we experienced this because it was challenging and fun. The course was big enough to experience it for 2 hours. I don't think anyone can master the course in one day unless you're from America Ninja Warrior. if the groupon is still available get on it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information
