Center Director Rowena Morgan first came across the Music Together program when she took her infant son to a class in New Jersey. Falling in love with the program immediately, she took the training at the Music Together headquarters in Princeton, New Jersey in December 1997 before moving out to California with her family. She founded her own Music Together center in Pleasanton in 1998. Music Together Tri-Valley celebrated it's 20th anniversary in 2018.

She has a Music Degree from Glasgow University in Scotland and trained at the Royal Academy of Music in Great Britain. Rowena plays flute, piano, recorder and drums and has performed and taught both privately and in schools to students of all ages.

Every year Rowena travels back to the Music Together headquarters in Princeton for the Directors' conference to update skills, hear about the latest research in music and young children and about the new programs Music Together has to offer. Every semester Rowena and her teachers update their skills in local workshops covering not only musical elements but also childhood development, different learning styles, and classroom management.

Ranjani Jones grew up on Long Island, NY in a house filled with education in the arts, especially music. She
grew up engulfed in her ballet, tap and jazz classes. She was exposed to voice, piano and guitar lessons at
a young age. However it wasn’t until she was in her early 20’s that she got serious about playing the
guitar. She currently performs under the name “Gypsy Jones” or with “RJ and The Armadillos”.

She has been teaching private music lessons for over a decade and specializes in lessons with younger
children. As a new mother she discovered Music Together and fell in love with the knowledge the
program provides. She is thrilled to be in the Music Together family and is looking forward to making
music with you!

photo Jessika

Jessika has been passionate about creating musical experiences ever since she was able to grasp a microphone. It came as no surprise to her family that she ended up studying music, and went on to perform with choirs (as a member and as a solo performer) all over the world. Even after becoming a mother, she shared her love of music by singing and performing at every opportunity in community theater and choirs, in between running a daycare for ages 0-5 in her home to support her family while her husband was still in school. Once she was able to have more flexibility with her schedule, she knew it was time to get back to her roots and finally create a career in music for herself. She has always wanted to be a performing music artist, so as she pursues that dream, she's also an event DJ and music teacher to enrich and support her endeavors. It feels very full circle to be a part of this team, continuing to work with young children and doing what she loves at the same time!
