I love getting Naked ... Body + Bath, that is.

The bath and body shop opened in summer 2006 by three local Houstonians. These career women were set on launching a business that was high quality, meaningful to patrons and most of all, eco-friendly (pure, all natural products and they use minimal packaging).

With every visit, they treat you to a complimentary foot soak with your choice of a fizzy bath ball. My favorite are the Shae coco butter during the cold, dry-skinned winters and pink grapefruit during the sizzling summer. If you've got kiddos, these fizzing bath balls will get them excited about baths, and do wonders to tangley hair.

All of their products, from the soaps (chocolate smells and looks good enough to eat) and body lotions to the body scrubs and oils are free of parabens, which studies have shown are the number one cause of breast cancer.

The price and quality of their lotions can't be beat. I'm a lotion freak, constantly lathering up my hands, and when I use their lotion which I custome-made (you can choose the level of thickness and hydration), I don't have to whip out my bottle as much to reapply, and my hands feel as though I just got a paraffin wax treatment.

My favorite aspect about the shop is that you can create your own scented lotions, body scrubs and perfumes. Play around with their oils (a HUGE array of scents varying from grass, tomato and dirt to Calla Lilies, coconut and roses), and they document the exact recipe and save it on file for your next visit. I created my own scent, named after myself (they even put a cute little label on your spritzy bottle) with the scents of grapefruit, gardenia and coconut. Funny thing is that you smell it in that exact same order. I've received many o' compliments from friends, and they all ask me what I'm wearing. I simply answer, "Farrah." I think the "best" compliment I received was over the summer (it's a summer scent) when my friend Ben looked over at me and said I smelled like Miss Hawaiian Tropic. Well, if I can't look like one...

I've fallen in love! I went to Naked Bath + Body for a lotion and left with my hands full of delicious smelling, fully customizable, natural lotions, soap, bath bombs and even perfume! Yes, I finally have that perfect signature scent - It didn't cost me a small fortune and I'm not concerned that everyone else will be wearing it... for you see at Naked Bath + Body you have the ability to play with 200 fragranced oils and 50 essential oils to create a fragrance that is uniquely yours and they'll place that recipe on file to ensure its always available for your next top up.

Natural Perfection!

This is my kind of store. Locally owned (by three women), everything can be tested before you buy (there are really beautiful sinks for your hands and feet at the back of the store), inexpensive ($6 for 4oz of bath gel-your own scent combinations), and wonderful-smelling essential oils to choose from/mix together. Oh, and they keep your "recipes" on file for future reference while shopping. Less to remember. Awesome!

Narrowing down my oils was difficult for me. Deer in the headlights, once again. The employee was very patient, letting me take my time. She offered suggestions if asked, but mainly kept to herself. I didn't feel rushed.

For those of you Bath Junkie ...uh junkies, this place has most of those standard scents (ha!), but many, many more. Ume blossom, sweet olive blossom (I really like sweet olive trees), four separate Magnolia scents, several types of vertiver... The list was extensive.

I felt like I was cheating on Bath Junkie when on a sunny day while strolling thru the Village, I stumbled on this wonderful place! I thought I should not go in there, then I saw a foot spa setup I dare? Of course, so I went in and got a heavenly foot treatment which in turn caused me to fall in love with this place on the spot! (Sorry, Bath Junkie, I still love you) I made a fragrance that causes people to ask me what I'm wearing!! It's my own creation that the wonderful store manager helped me discover! Not gonna tell the scents, though! It's a secret! But, I did buy perfume, lotion and bath gel in my scent and a couple of Fizzy balls for my foot spa at home!

I'd been wanting a new perfume, but hadn't bought one since I'm super picky and hadn't found one I liked. And then! Last week I randomly stumbled upon Naked, where you can MIX YOUR OWN SCENTS. They have lots of oils to choose from and you can add your own mixture to a perfume base, a body scrub, a lotion, etc. Their products are like 90-something percent natural and have no parabens and most have no Sodium Laurel Sulfate.

They also give complimentary foot soaks and it was heavenly.

I walked out of there with a new personal perfume (oils of tomato, spicy lime, lychee and lettuce. Yes, I'm a salad- but how perfect for the beginning of summer!) and 3 bath bombs- all for just over $20. Take THAT, Lush! I didn't want a Lush in Houston ANYWAY.

Some amazing smelling stuff....dreamy. The sugar body scrubs are so awesome and heavily scented that the scent doesn't fade the minute I open the bathroom door. It lingers on the skin and I cannot help but smell myself. ha...even if it's weird, it's true.

The body oils are long lasting and customized and recipe kept on file for next time. Pretty awesome! I love trying new products and they have samples of their soaps. :D

Beautiful place. If you are a girl , you would like visit this place and check out many products that they have. I love thier body scrub a lot. They have many different kinds of stuff for you to clean.
If you never been there, I recommand to visit at least once and find something good for you.It is all naturall and it help you to become beautiful

Organic? Yes? Yummy? Yes...in other words, perfect! I never knew that you could be in love with bath products but Naked has shown me the way, and yes you can.

Various concoctions greet you at the door of this West Village haunt, meeting up in the soaps section for various blocks of soap that will make your skin tingle, in a good way. The wonderful and light scents direct you to the perfume " bar," where you can mix and match - with the help of a qualified professional - the right scent you want to sport and call your own. You can also just give your nose a workout and spend time - like I do - smelling all the scents.

Try the lavender and grass scents, as well as the linen and any other lighter scents that are truly relaxing. Once you're done with the tour of scents, you can head over to the soaking tubs, where the professionals will soak your footsies in some warm water sprinkled with bath salts.

Just remember that when you're waiting for your turn surrounded by other equally-eager women. Or better yet, shop around and then come for a much-needed soak.

A couple years back I was fed up with all the harsh cleaners in soaps destroying my skin, and I stumbled across naked during a normal shopping outting. I walk in and immediately was greeted by an employee who was more than happy to explain their more natural approach on skin care. The concept was great, and I was quite eager to try the products. I chose a liquid soap and then was walked through the process of finding a scent. You can choose from pre made scents, or you can mix your own secret and personal scent. creating a scent is an adventure in itself.

On top of the good service and quality products the prices are quite reasonable. It's definitely a place I will continue to shop at, and it doesnt hurt that I get to play around with making a new unique scents for myself.

This store has an awesome selection of soaps , essential oils and body products that all claim to be 100% natural...

This store is hard to notice when you are driving through the Rice Village, but please do stop in and take a look at their delightful bath goodies :)
