Yes but they are a "Field Paint only Facility" so the paintballs you bring are subject to inspection to ensure quality and then a $10 corking fee per case of paintballs.

For this being the "premier northern California paintball park" it leaves a lot to be desired.
Lets start with the good, field and staging area's. Awesome covered staging area and decent fill stations. Seemed clean enough especially with all the rain that Nor-Cal has been getting. Fields had fun layouts and were swamps but again cant fault this place for that. Staff inside the staging area was nice and informative and sidenote HK Army paint is actual trash.
Now for the glaring red flags and absolute abysmal stuff...
Referee's : Wow what an actual disgraceful experience here. The worst referee's I've ever seen playing paintball.
One referee was telling rental players to keep their mask on, Another referee immediately joked "F*** it, they signed a waiver..." continued by another referee saying "We don't get paid enough for this s**t."
Why would you ever want your kid's or parties where someone could literally lose an eye to play here with this kind of attitude, and it somehow got worse from here.
The Rec Ball players which are there to have fun and learn were forced to play 15 man against 9 man on a 5-7 man field vs cringe D5 players who were clearly cheating and talking shit. The referee's seemed cliqued up and I watched multiple players on this D5 team wiping and ignoring shots. I heard a player bring this up to the referee which replied "I cheat too, if you aren't cheating you aren't trying." Imagine that being the attitude of your referee in an integrity based game. Grown men cheating because they have such fragile little ego's that they can't even sit out and wait for the next game. I saw a group of guys that came to play and literally left after one game because of this trash experience. I asked why and they said they've never seen it this bad before.
This is by far the worst paintball experience I've had in 15 years of playing in this sport. I was recommended by multiple people to come here and I must say, I will not be returning anytime soon. I hope to come back and see some changes but I am going to leave this as a one star review until then.
This is for management! You have Brad from PBRML and Marcello Margott from Dynasty recommending your field for growth and player retention on a sport that was dying less than 5 years ago. You guy's need to take a serious look at what is happening out here and I will not recommend this field to anyone until this is figured out!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Travis W.Folsom, CA081Apr 15, 2024
Was very fun definitely coming back. Nice fields. However Without knowing another experienced player was added onto the team. Confused us all and nobody shot him believing it was due an error. Refs are pretty chill but lazy, several of them talk instead of coming to watch us play. Innacuarate guns but whatever. Will come back I did like it

Been here a couple times now, two separate birthday parties for my boys. One paintball party we had here in August and the other we had her there following April.
Admission and rental is $20/person and our groups varied each time between 8-12 players. Each participant with their admission fee gets a paintball helmet that they get to keep, a paintball gun w/muzzle protector. And a large box of paintball to divide up within the players. For an extra fee you can also purchase additional protection gear for the chest, forearms and or shins. But if you wear long sleeved shirts and pants, you can mitigate issues out on the courses.
The paintball course vary in terrain and natural & man made cover which is nice. I love playing out in the fields and hiding behind berms in the, or you have the ability to hide behind and in vehicles. Or you get to start or opposition point. Then there's also the area for more experiences players, where you run and duck behind the inflatable cover laid out over an AstroTurf covered course.
Capital Edge also has shaded outdoor seating for group events which is nice. That's where we put all of our personal and paintball stuff, not being actively used while in game.
Overall: Great outdoor location. Bring clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty, because that's what going to happen. And most importantly...expect to have some good old fashioned fun!Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Sarah S.Stockton, CA40865109Apr 25, 2023
Super cool idea for my sons 18th bday, he invited a friend & they both got loads of paintballs, protection vests, masks, (which they get to keep) for under 200$
The place is family friendly, lots of outside seating with coverage, there was even a kids bday happening. We saw lots of people walking around in full body gear! Dope! We even brought back food for both boys. My son very much enjoyed himself! We would love to return!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - MsMrn D.Toronto, Canada071217Jul 29, 2023
Good place for beginners under 10yo
Courteous staff and explained rules very patently.
Lots of parking, tables and shades.
Location was goodHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Corey C.Sacramento, CA19125Oct 15, 2023
It was a blast! First time and I am looking forward to doing again soon. The competitive nature with small risk of injury (paint balls do hurt - but a thick loose sweater deadens the impact) really sold this for me.
Two tips - learn to use the cover and shoot with either hand.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Darwin H.Sacramento, CA131115136Jul 22, 2023
Although I didn't go, when our group of students can back, they were extremely excited and can't wait to go back. I think the reason being is they were able to "get back" at some of the staff with the paint shots. They were fitted with gear, which was a huge selling point for our center. They student want to go back again in a couple months, and we're looking forward to making it happen.
Thanks Capital Edge for making all of the accommodations for our students.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Randy B.Elk Grove, CA572010Jun 27, 2023

I'm not gonna sugarcoat things. This place sucks. The staff is a bunch of underpaid teenagers, so it's not really their fault. It's dirty (not "paintball field" dirty, more so "unattended" dirty), unprofessional, and worst of all unorganized.
I've been playing for a long time. I spend hundreds here every other weekend. This place made me pay five bucks to "rent" a barrel cover (mine was in the wash) after dropping nearly $200 on paint and entry fees.
A few of us watched a certain blonde man bun adorned ref tell an inexperienced player that their is "no such thing as electronic and ramping autocockers" after letting his buddies with, you guessed it, electronic autocockers play with the intermediate crowd.
That same ref was caught by me and my pals giving hints to another player from the sidelines, only to yell at another player for telling his young kid to "move up" when he was on the sidelines.
That particular ref is a certain kind of dirtbag.
We had another ref lead our group to only one of four open fields and tell us this is the only field we get to play on the rest of the day. When I realized it didn't make sense I asked the manager why we were relegated to that one field; to which he replied "there's four fields you guys can play on, im not sure why he said that".
My group (consisting of my two friends and two strangers) asked to join the intermediates since there wasn't enough for a full advanced game and said we'd be happy to change our markers to semi auto and use limited paint and not be assholes on the field. We were told no, understandably. But what do we see when the intermediates get off the field thirty minutes later? But to self equipped players who were told they could play as long as they set their markers to semi auto!
Their "hyper" field is literal concrete. Not a joke or exaggeration. The ref lifted up a pitiful piece of turf and showed me some real messed up concrete, then laughed at me and said "have fun sliding!"
Last but not least they just hosted a Professional event for the NXL, and they completely spat in the faces of the vendors, players, and spectators. The poor vendors were getting hit with bounce shots, the field looked thrown together as hell, the viewpoints for coaches were literally falling apart, and everything was crammed together like sardines. Absolutely ZERO respect for the game. Dust and dirt were what the poor vendors got to set up on, the little turf they had looked like my pit bull chewed it up, and it goes to show you how little they care about this sport growing. I sincerely hope to god the NXL skips Sacramento next year and goes to an actual paintball field.
These are just SOME of the examples of the general chaos and anarchistic experiences here at this field. It's like the kids from "lord of the flies" decided to take over and run what was once probably a decent place. It's too bad some rich smart guy doesn't open a competing place in Sac. If he improved upon the conditions of Capital Edge just 10%, they'd put this place out of business. Unfortunately it's our only choice unless we want to go to Davis.
I know this seems dramatic, but this comes from a player that cares a lot about the game and wants as many people involved as possible, and it seems that Cap Edge is doing everything in its power to stop people from wanting to play paintball.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
