Just reach home from rock climbing. It was my first time doing something like this so I was very excited. The lady at the front desk was the sweetest of them all but can't remember her name. All I could remember is that she just move to Boston 5 or 6 months ago.
For me it wasn't as easy as it looks but after a hour or two I finally made it to the top. The kids that go there are well trained and didn't need much help making it to the top at all. There was this one girl around the age of six to eight that went up the wall four times blindfolded. Simple amazing, young and talented.
I really enjoyed this spot would definitely go back one of these days with a friend hopefully.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 1, 2023Updated review
Yoooo they added a water bottle filling station! What a dream come true!

I go between this Rock Spot, South Boston, and occasionally the Lincoln location, probably going to this location more often. It's easy to get to and there is a parking lot, which sweetens the deal.
There is a good variety of bouldering, auto-belays, and top roping available, so really anyone can come here and find something they're able to do. They do a pretty good job of changing out the routes, so I know that if I don't come here for a couple of weeks, there will be some new routes to explore for me.
The vibe is chill; everyone is super nice (both the people who work here as well as the folks who come here). I do wish they had a water bottle filling station but that is really low on the list of things that actually impact my visits here. - Jan 20, 2020
We came in for the night owl deal which is $10 after 10pm. The staff was helpful in explaining everything. He went over the equipment, safely and which parts that we were able to climb. We got a soild hour and half in. The place is run well. Not issues to record

We had my kid's 6th birthday party here today, and it was epic. I wasn't sure what it would be like to have 11 kindergartners who have never rock climbed before at a party, but they all had the best time. The two staff members who ran the party were awesome and got all the kids going and up on the wall. They played fun games at the end that the kids loved. The folks at the front desk were so helpful and nice too. My kid had an incredible party and we will be back!

Came here with my BF for an all day pass that came with rentals (includes harness and shoes). We were greeted briefly by Kim and she gave us a brief 10 minute run down of the rules. Very helpful and throughout!
Boy and I were new to rock climbing and I'm terrified of heights. The hardest thing for me was learning to let go of the harness and trust. Trust that I won't die.
Overall, had a blast! Will definitely come back! Potentially can be my next new hobby :)Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Nov 19, 2016
I typically climb at the Rock Spot location in South Boston. My friends wanted to try a new place so we decided to go here. The first thing I noticed was that the place was way more crowded with young children than the South Boston location. This wouldn't be an issue, but it adds a level of anxiety when kids are running around, under where you are climbing (though, it gives you extra motivation to not let go of the holds...).
The staff were really nice and they did a great job coaching kids who were scared of heights (seems like a great birthday party idea).
The problems here felt more challenging than the S. Boston location and I think it's partially due to the slanted wall. Even the V1 and V2 problems seemed pretty tough.
I did like that their top roping section seemed pretty large and that they offered auto-belays for people who are climbing alone or aren't belay certified.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Elsie Y.Brighton, MA23635Jan 8, 2018
The place is pretty nice for a rock climbing gym. There are a good number of auto belays and and regular belays as well, though I did find that people were generally using the autos. There is a good range for the auto belays, but I did notice that the regular belays were on the higher end with an average of 5.9.
There are a good range of levels for bouldering as well, so beginners and pros each have their place on different walls. You can top out on every single path, which is good but kind of scary still for some.
What I did not like about the gym is how busy it was. There were a lot of children there, which is completely fine, but is hard to go through different walls when the children are rotating between each other. I've been to the South Boston location and it is definitely quieter there, if you'd like more options.
TLDR: Nice gym with lots of different walls for belaying and bouldering, but gets pretty busy with children on a Sunday afternoon .Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sarah S.Saint Louis, MO17Aug 19, 2019
My new climbing spot! Weeknights are very relaxed here. I like that there's a good range of easy and difficult routes with lots of auto belays. It's been pretty quiet the last few times I've been and the other climbers look to be in there 20's and 30's. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's also not so expensive that I can't afford to go regularly. I'll definitely be back!

Great place to climb! I've been to a few different indoor rock climbing places and this was the best. Max at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. Some of the other staff seemed...idk, snobby? Standoffish? But maybe that was just me. But the gear was in god shape, especially the shoes which was a nice change.
There was so much awesome bouldering to choose from with varying degrees of difficulty. There was ten auto belay stations with challenging yet attainable climbs. I had a blast.y fingers and arms hate me but they'll get over it. Definitely going back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Daphnee D.Silver Spring, MD1317888Jun 16, 2013
Location not accessible via T :(.
Free parking A++
Friendly staff, good instruction
Discounted rates for students Sundays $15 including gear(shoes and harness)
Saturdays starting at 7p ladies $15
It's a small place so I can't imagine how annoying it is when it's packed.
They call it a gym, but there's like two tread mills and a couple of weights
There's a tight rope which I almost lost my life on. But it was pretty cool
Atmosphere: hot and humid. Smelled like corn chips, and feet. Music was good, makes you want to rock climb.
Lacks variety, all the walls were pretty much the same. AND when you free climb and fall the mat is not that soft. In the end this place is Not too shabby. I still go, this place gets a BHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
