The Therapist

Hello!

My name is Leigh Williams. I am a massage therapist and a native of Spokane, WA. I grew up in the Spokane Valley and graduated from West Valley High School in 2000. I played soccer and softball and was a fast pitch, pitcher for 6 years, but played for 8. I am a DIE HARD Seattle Mariners fan and still believe that Ken Griffey Jr. is the best baseball ever, so much, that he made it into the first paragraph of my bio, lol!. I also love my dogs. I own two red heelers, otherwise known as Australian Cattle dogs. In my opinion, they are a HUGE part of my family and don't know what I would do without them. They go by the names of Glen and Irvin. I currently have no kids and am not married, but have been with my significant other for quite a few years.

I went to massage school at Spokane Community College. I received a certificate in massage therapy and can perform all kinds of modalities including: Relaxation, Swedish, Prenatal, Myofascial Release, Lymph Drainage, Hot Stones and Deep Tissue. I believe massage therapy plays a big role in the quality of life. My style of massage is of course different than any other massage therapist. I like the clients to leave feeling good and relaxed not feeling like they got hit by a freight truck. My favorite type of massage to give is that of relaxation and myofascial Release. I feel that by putting the client in a para sympathetic state or relaxing, is the best time for the muscles to let go and relieve stress. So, if your a body builder or just somebody looking for extreme deep tissue, I'm probably not the therapist for you. Typically, I love to work on clients who have fibromyalgia. I feel I have a very good sense of touch for these people hindered by this syndrome. I grew up with a family member who had this, I CAN put myself in your shoes and truly know how you feel and know how painful this syndrome can be. I am a good motivated therapist who wants and can help you feel better.

A little bit more about me, I LOVE warm weather and sunny skies! I can't stand the cold or snow. My idea of a perfect vacation would be on a sunny tropical warm island by the water. I love doing crafty things, including sewing and putting puzzles together. Well, now that you know about me, I hope it's enough that you might want to come try me out! I look forward to meeting you!
