Meet Lil' Whit: Site turns your photos into stuffed people

As you know, I get a lot of weird stuff in the mail. (This was a classic.) But one of the strangest packages came this week, when I opened a box to discover ... a STUFFED VERSION OF MYSELF:

Meet what I now call Lil' Whit. She was created by a reader named Drew, who started a company in New York with some friends. They run IAmAStuffedAnimal.com, "where we make customized stuffed animals of whomever you want."

Lil' Whit is pretty detailed. They must have used a photo for my face and clothes (but not my arms, which look like I might have a steroid problem). The back is cool, too:

The company has made a handful of famous people, including Shakespeare, President Obama and Gandhi. Here's a gallery of the more ordinary folks they've created.

Lil' Whit has so many things to experience -- her first trip to Central Park, her first cab ride -- that I'm not sure where we'll begin. Until then, we're just trying to spend some quality time together, arm in arm.
