What to bring on the Party Boat

  • Sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, a hat and hand towel
  • Lightweight long sleeve shirts offer the best protection in the Florida sun
  • Take Dramamine an hour before you get on the boat (if worried about seasickness)
  • Wear nonskid shoes with good traction

Optional Items to Bring

  • A small soft cooler you can carry with one hand or over the shoulder
  • Some people prefer their own equipment, you can bring your own rod, spinning real and Sabiki rigs
  • A tip for the Mates, 15% to 20% is customary

For the seasoned fisherman who would like to bring extra tackle, we have the following suggestions:

Recommended Tackle for those who bring their own bottom fishing rod:

  • 60# Test line and leader line options
  • 3 oz. to 8 oz. Lead for various currents
  • 5/0, 6/0 or 8/0 Hooks recommended (We use Mustad #92671)

Recommended Tackle for those who bring their own top water rod:

  • A medium to stiff 7′ ft. spinning rod with a good reel
  • 30# test line
  • Rigged for kingfish, cobia, dolphin and other top water species
  • You may wish to use a float line set up
  • Suggested lure for Cobia: Captain Troy Cobia jig

  • Offers deep sea fishing along with sports fishing, sight fishing and trolling
  • More variety of fish are caught including bill fish species

Make your reservations as early as possible to ensure the desired date will be open. Most boats require a small deposit, in case of a “no show”, and that will hold your date. Inquire as to what is provided on your charter.
