2011 (Summer with Peninsula Oilers)
• Played summer baseball with the Peninsula Oilers of the Alaska League, leading his team to a NBC Championship.
• Made 19 appearances, holding a 1.21 earned run average and striking out 21 batters.
• Led the team with five saves on the season.
• Also played with Bluejay teammate Mark Winkelman.
• Finished the summer as part of the top-relief staff in the Alaska League.
2011 (Junior at Creighton)
• Named MVC Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 21-27, after picking up two saves and two wins in the second week of play.
• Also earned CollegeBaseballInsider.com’s National Pitcher of the Week following the second week of play, throwing 7.0 scoreless innings and allowing four hits in games vs. Kansas and three appearances at New Mexico.
• Earned his spot as one of Creighton’s closers by picking up the first three saves of the season.
• Finished the season with five saves, ranking second on the team and tied for seventh in the MVC.
• Made 35 appearances, finishing tied for first in the conference and the team and placing his name in a tie for fifth on the Creighton all-time charts.
• All 35 of his appearances came in relief, setting him atop the league in relief appearances.
• Saw his first action of the season in the opener, tossing one inning against Toledo. Finished the game with one strikeout and one hit batter (2/19).
• Earned the win at Kansas after throwing 1.2 innings of relief in the 4-3, 11-inning win (2/22).
• Picked up his first save in one innings of work in the series opener at New Mexico (2/25).
• Tossed another single inning of scoreless baseball, allowing one hit and striking out one to earn his second save just a day later, also at New Mexico (2/26).
• Improved to 2-0 on the season after throwing 3.1 innings of scoreless baseball in the finale at New Mexico, in which Creighton won 8-7 (2/27). He tossed a season-high 60 pitches in the game.
• Did not allow a run through his first seven appearances, surrendering his first run at Central Arkansas (3/9).
• Allowed just one hit in 1.2 innings of work against South Dakota State to improve to 3-1 on the year (3/12).
• Needed five pitches to pick up his fourth save of the season, striking out one batter in the final inning of a 6-5 win over BYU (3/21).
• Allowed one hit in his first MVC action, throwing nine pitches at Illinois State (4/8).
• Tossed 1.2 innings of scoreless baseball, allowing one hit and striking out one, in the 4/19 opener at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha.
• Earned the first win of his MVC career against Southern Illinois, getting the final out of the game in a 5-4 win (4/22).
• Went eight straight appearaces without allowing a run, throwing 8.2 innings from April 5 - May 1. He lowered his earned run average over 1.40 points during that span.
• Tied his season-high with 3.1 innings of work in the series finale with Bradley, striking out a season-high five batters while allowing one hit and no runs (5/1). Picked up his fifth win of the season in the game.
• Struck out four batters in back-to-back appearances in May, first in 2.0 innings of scoreless work at Wichita State (5/8) and then in 2.2 innings of scoreless baseball against Nebraska (5/10).
• Threw seven pitches in the final inning against Missouri State to earn his fifth save of the season. The win also clinched the MVC regular season title for the Bluejays (5/21).
• Saw action in five of the six games against Missouri State in the regular season and MVC Tournament, allowing three runs in 4.1 innings of work, picking up one save and one win.
• Threw 1.2 innings of relief at Oregon State, striking out one batter (6/4).
• Allowed two hits and one earned run in the season finale, vs. Georgia in the NCAA Regional (6/5).
2008-10 (Garden City CC)
• Finished 40-17 in the 2010 season, third in the conference.
• Led the team to Western Division Championship in 2008, finishing first in the conference with a 45-17 overall record.
• Recorded a 3-0 record his sophomore season with a 2.20 ERA.
• Tied a school record with 14 saves in the 2010 season.
• Had 37 strikeouts in 36.2 innings pitched in his sophomore season for head coach Chris Finnegan and the Broncbusters.
• Earned first team All-Conference KJCCC and second team All-Region KJCCC for his performance at GCCC.
• Named to the Dean’s List for his academic success the fall of 2008.
2004-08 (Fairview High School)
• Played baseball, basketball and football for the Knights of Fairview High School in Boulder, Colo..
• Earned varsity letters in baseball and basketball his junior and senior seasons. Earned one in football his sophomore year.
• Led his baseball team to fifth place overall during his senior season, playing for head coach Rick Harig.
