Checkers Pizza & Ribs

I've driven by here a bunch of times, but have honestly never gone inside. This particular day, my son asked if I could pick up a pizza for him and I agreed. When I called to find out what time they were open until the people on the other end were very polite and gave the time and I went ahead to order. It's a small, quaint little shop with maybe two tables inside but honestly they're obnoxious LED lights were so bright, I also have a sensitivity to light, I couldn't see anything as I was walking in, and actually had a shield, my hand over my eyes as I walked up. there storefront was so bright. It was as if a Tesla was going to hit me in the face!

The pizza was really good nice medium crust not too much sauce and not too greasy considering the toppings were pepperoni and bacon but I was kind of annoyed afterwards because the storefront window said they had a large one topping pizza for 1499. I basically spent $27 with a tip, on a two topping pizza. Lol oh well teachers budget?! I wish I would've known beforehand.

Everything overall was OK but I wish I would've asked if they were specials or something beforehand cause I think I got a bit hoodwink tear but maybe I'll come back for their special. My son loved the pizza! He's a teenager, so that's all that really matters! Lol.

I've been a repeat customer for a while now when I get a craving for pizza I order here. They never disappoint.

What I ordered:
BBQ Chicken Pizza: BBQ sauce, grilled chicken, red & green bell peppers, black olives, red onions & fresh tomatoes
One tiramisu slice

I ordered a medium BBQ chicken for myself and it's plenty big, enough for a few days. The toppings are very generous and I even found myself pretty full after one slice. Today I ordered delivery and decided to get the tiramisu slice this time.

I thought the tiramisu was good. I could instantly taste the coffee which is what I love about tiramisu. I'd buy this dessert again and I thought the price was fair for the slice. I recommend!

I really enjoy their pizza and they have great customer service as well. Our order is always correct.

I haven't been here in probably 3 years so thought i'd pay them a visit after moving back to town! Their small sized pizza is freaking huge and will stuff you up if you're coming here to pick up some grub for lunch.

The owner is super nice, and sweet to talk to!! I can safely say I can do without their fried chicken nuggets and probably their appetizers overall. Their fried zucchini and jalapeno peppers are the only ones that stood out to me. However, definitely better service and quality than City Pizza up the road as they use fresher ingredients!! Will probably come by for dinner another time or lunch again in the near future!!

I ordered "Checkers Super Combination Pizza" several times, and it tastes good. Surprisingly the latest one contained a tiny metal pin inside, which I almost ate. Quality control seems a concern.

We love their veggie pizzas! There are two different kinds, and we usually have them both in large size, half and half. Their thin crust is also really good - crispy and light! People there are always friendly and cheerful! We love both the quality of pizzas and people working there!

the combo pizza was delicious. the crust is crunchy and the dough is perfectly chewy with good amount of sauce. also, the price is very reasonable and the customer service is amazing! would recommend this place.

I just started working at the local school nearby and we found a lunch special for a pretty decent price.

They're a pretty no nonsense business and get the job done quickly.

Great food. Good price. On time. Can't ask for more especially if you have less than 30 minutes for lunch.

Great pizza, as good as Round Table but not as expensive, also love the ribs and lasagna, actually everything's good.

The pizza I had was great. Ingredients tasted fresh and the crust had a good texture to it. What impressed me the most however was the chocolate cake. It almost tasted like a ferrero rocher because it has a thin wafer layer. The ganache was also impressive/well-executed. I really enjoyed my lunch from here.
