Came in for happy hour and didn't regret it. The service was great, and our server was very sweet. The atmosphere is pretty standard in my opinion, but the waterfall wall behind the bar is a cool touch.
They have a decent list of cocktails for happy hour that are only $5. I tried one that was like a mocha martini, I can't remember exactly what it was called, but it was good!
For food, we got the fried cauliflower, which was a large serving and had a good dipping sauce. I got the filet sandwich with fries that was a special for the night and a great deal at $13.99. It was decent, but nothing special.
Overall, I think they have a great happy hour, but the food was just okay. However, considering the prices on the regular menu, I can't see myself coming in for dinner.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 28, 2024
On 27 Jan 2024,a good friend and I celebrated her birthday and retirement at Blue Hill Tavern. I highly recommend you stop in for a drink and a meal. I was surprised the restaurant does happy hour on Saturday that included $5 cocktails, beer and wine options as well as mussels, hummus, fried cauliflower and more. For starters we enjoyed the mussels, cauliflower, and calamari the size and look of onion rings. For our main course my friend had the salmon over cabbage stewed with apple and cinnamon. I had the seafood pasta. We topped our meals off with hot tea and the apple, almond tart. EVERYTHING was delicious!

We had a great night at Blue Hill Tavern. Our server/Bartender was Danah (I'm sorry if I spelled your name wrong). She was so nice and friendly! Give that lady a raise! She deserves it! We sat in the bar area which was not too crowded. We went on a Wednesday night. The only weird thing was the TV's at the bar were surround by frames and they didn't seem like they fit. We ordered Caesar salad (which they split for us), mushroom pizza, spicy broccolini, and Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious, seasoned perfectly, and spaced out perfectly. We got a bottle of wine which was half off since it was a special for that night. I would come back again for sure! The price point was good for the food quality and the service was stellar! The location is good too we walked but there was plenty of parking. All in all 5 stars!

I had the weirdest time at this place, and I am not sure how to rate them overall. Mostly glows, but the GROW was very major and cannot be ignored.
GLOWS:
-Indoor and outdoor seating available- easy process to make a reservation and be seated
- Nice restaurant overall with bar area and dining areas with several styles of seating available.
- I ate from the restaurant week menu. I was pleased with my snapper fish and the candy bar dessert I had.
GROWS:
- The risotto had a peculiar flavor to it--Like there was an ingredient included that should not have been.
- The mac and cheese seems to be hit or miss based on how long they bake it. Some photos show it baked much more than what we received that day.
- I do not recommend the apple tart.
-NOW FOR THE MAJOR GLOW- A table behind us killed a roach while dining. It was a very loud stomp and caught our attention. My table had just finished our food and were waiting on the check, so we didn't really know how to react. The major downfall was that the dead roach stayed on the floor the entire time, while servers just walked passed it even though the other table let management know what happened. Very weird.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Darnisha E.Randallstown, MD92135275Jul 24, 2022
Went for restaurant week and nothing was a miss. Southwest egg rolls were the best I've ever had. Fried Green Tomato Ceviche was so good and nothing I'd ever think to make. Crab dip very good. Ny Strip Steak with chimichurri cooked to
Perfection. Fried Pickles were tasty, the breading was so crispy and flavorful (they even had a few whole fried garlic cloves which I loved). Seafood Bucatini was ok nothing I'd order again but not bad. My friend wasn't a huge fan of the watermelon salad but that was just because she thought the watermelon would be the star and not just a few pieces. Staff was attentive. Will absolutely visit again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 2, 2022
We live nearby and hadn't visited BHT in a few years. It's a pretty massive restaurant for just a neighborhood joint and in the past we had been hesitant to commit to the prices. We now have visited 3 times in past month and there is nothing better than the sous vide pork tenderloin. It falls right off the bone and is SO tender almost resembling a lamb shank. We've tried the smoked duck breast, mahi mahi special and all are good but I will continue ordering the pork tenderloin. Other standouts are the octopus app and tavern burger. I'm a bit disappointed this place isn't busier because it's so good but glad it's a family friendly option for us.

Very nice dinner and cocktails. The mussels were very good as was the seafood bucatini.

So they have really friendly staff and good martinis. I love blue cheese olives and they do them in house. The food is ok. It's kind of hit and miss. Sometimes its great and sometimes it's blah. It's a pricy place. The ambiance is really nice too. Give it a try!

Blue Hill Tavern has it all.
Excellent atmosphere, high quality food, and reasonable prices.
My girlfriend and I came here for Valentine's Day. We got the gnocchi to start, and the bucatini pasta and pork tenderloin as our entrees. The food was bussin bussin, respectfully.
Great place to take ya girl out. She won't be disappointed.
This is also one of the few places in Baltimore that offer many sousvide options, so make sure you order one of those entrees. We'll be back!
