LEVEL ONE

Ages 8-12
Tuesday from 5:30-6:30
$50 per set of 5 workshop sessions
Located at PFB 1 4620 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy Portland, OR 97221

This 90 minute workshop is designed for beginners to explore the art of acting.
The workshop is designed to improve oral reading skills, comprehension, speech, concentration, and memorization through scenes and monologues.

LEVEL TWO

Ages 13-15
Thursdays from 6pm-7:30pm
$75 per set of 5 workshop sessions

This 90 minute workshop is designed for teens with experience to explore and develop their craft of acting. The ability to read aloud is stressed through scene study and monologue work. Auditioning Technique is explored and the focus is to help the student actor to develop confidence in their presentation as performers.

LEVEL THREE

Ages 16- 18
Wednesday from 3:00-4:30
$100 per set of 5 workshop sessions

This 90 minute workshop is designed for experienced teenage performers to continue to develop their acting skills. Auditioning Technique and “cold-reading” is stressed. Scene and monologue work is explored while working to develop an “honest and naturalistic” form of acting.

ACTING FOR ADULTS

Monday 6:30-8:00 OR Wednesday 6:30-8:00
$100 per set of 5 workshop sessions or $25 per session (pay as you go)

This 90 minute workshop is for the serious-minded adult beginner to the trained actor that desires to practice their craft and/or learn a new acting technique that I have created and taught in New York City at the Film Acting Studio from 1980-2008. “Cold-reading”, auditioning technique, “quick memory exercises”, scene studying and monologues are explored. Students will be given performance opportunities through the American Readers Theatre/Oregon Company. Jeffrey Stocker is the Founder and Director of the American Readers Theatre Company located in New York, Pennsylvania, and Oregon. He is the advisor to the National Arts Club Theatre/Drama Committee in NYC where he has directed over 100 stage readings which have included Tony Award winners Francis Sternhagen, Joan Copeland, and Marian Seldes. The list of actors he has trained at his acting studio in NYC has included cast members from some of the greatest plays and musicals that have graced the Broadway stage. He is highly recommended by major casting directors and talent agents in NYC. America Readers Theatre has been awarded grants from the NEA to the Noel Coward Foundation.
